The full reason Godzilla was initially losing against the mecha because of three things. Those things being that he used up almost all his atomic breath to drill through the earth, the battle with Kong, and his over usage of his atomic energy. Godzilla full power vs mechagodzilla would go differently with Godzilla winning the fight.

You forgot one thing, even if they took Kong in the middle of nowhere, Godzilla would still find him since Mothra not only gave Godzilla a power boost but also the ability to sense the entire earth and everything that is going on that is how he keeps the other titans in check.

Im impressed with the helicopters lifting Kong. They managed with less than 100, when they should have needed 5,555. Beastly birds indeed.

He lost, but respect to King Kong. Even though he is basically just a giant gorilla, he still put in work against a legendary creature that can swim, shoot lasers, gets stronger from nuclear energy, and gets constant upgrades. And King Kong ended up saving Godzilla and helping to destroying Godzilla 2.0. But even when King Kong was hurt and had like 10 HP, he still stood tall when it looked like Godzilla might have wanted to fight again. And to be honest, I feel that the movie lowballed how powerful Kong would actually be. In real life, gorillas can lift like 10 times their body weight. Anything their size is most likely getting destroyed. Imagine a giant gorilla fighting another creature its size. If it were a bit more realistic, I think King Kong would have been able to throw Godzilla around more. Not saying King Kong would have won (Godzilla's upgrades and atomic breath are pretty broken), but he would have had the edge in physical strength.

I call shenanigans on the gills thing. The using of gills assumes this version of godzilla is using chemistry to power his body. Specifically carbon based chemistry. At that size he is certainly nuclear powered and likely doesn't need to breath at all. Just does it to make noise and to provide a medium for the nuclear breath.

The missiles could do some damage if they only hit him in the back where the dorsal plates or fins are ,just like when he was charging after he slapped kong the jet shot a missile and it canceled godzilla's breath.Although its pretty risky but if we do it from far away with some jets it could be worth it at the end.

I love the fact that the oxygen destroyer and the orca just disappear in the sequel lmao. Like at least they should acknowledge their existence as an option, probably is never the best option, but at least a last resort. Also damn if we have that much powerful laser that can pierce and damage Godzilla skins, even with the energy issue, at least now we should have turrets of these around important point in the worlds. Ya know, like at the containment zones. Disclaimer: i love the series, and just here for fun. I ignore all the plot holes through all the movie just to see big monster fight. Even if monarch managed to make kong stay away from the body of water he still wouldn't be safe because considering kong is a alpha titan godzilla can tract him because godzilla can tract other alpha titan or whoever is that whos trying to cause destruction and that's why he attacked the apex facility. And btw godzilla has a bit more physical advantage considering he has a heavy long tail which acts as a third limb thats why he didn't get knocked out when kong punched him, and that skullcrawler is a ramarak skullcrawler and have a damn good day! Since apex cybernetics are the only ones with the codes on how to shut it down. Destroying the controllers are the best options. It worked in 1974 Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla so why not here. Also don't use hollow earth energy and the skull of king Ghidorah to power up your mech unless you want trouble. 22:27 jia wanted to go with kong since she's the only one to calm him down and he won't hurt her. 22:52 one it's tradition to have the military fight Godzilla. Two you just showed Godzilla getting hit on the back a screaming in pain a bit. So it shows that he can at least feel a bit of pain. 37:14 since this is 10 years after the battle of San Francisco I highly doubt the EMP tactic from the muto is gonna work since apex has created Mechagodzilla to fight other titans. Especially Godzilla
