Just kick the door open and storm in, grab a snack and throw others on ground with the gun in case it must be used, then escape immediately. This will end before the owner can understand what is happening. Afterwards, the girlfriend could enter, explains the truth to the owner or lies with some tragic stories about her boyfriend, promises to clean up and pay for the loss.......Just make sure the owner won't call the police for a robbery of snack, otherwise the next dare for him might be "shoot that officer at doorstep".

Yeah 2 minutes is typically not enough to be killed by strangulation. Typically it takes 5 to 20. The character passing out (I can't be bothered to remember names) did not mean he was dead and the medical student should have known this. This is why in executions by hanging the long drop method is used, because the goal is to break the neck from the weight of the body and the rope being suddenly jerked back up after the ideal distance based on body weight is achieved. However the character being hung was not dropped but instead pulled into the air by the rope meaning it was going for death by strangulation, which takes as I said before much longer. He could have totally been saved and been fine after 2 minutes. The fact he died was a failure on the other characters parts.

As some of my fellow commentators have pointed out, this scenario was rigged from the start. 1.The entity had to much control over its "truth or dares" to the point of retroactively changing or "specifying" condition on the fly. All the demon had to do to kill you, would be to wait until the last second, then change the rules thereby killing you by timeout. 2.The demon can effect multiple people at once with a single dare. All he needs to kill everyone, is to make a impossible challenge that targets everyone. 3. Lack of context. TBF to Nerd Explains, this horror flick suffers from what many horror flicks share, a poorly defined horror. Without said context, we have no clue on what the demon can't or can do.(like their changing of the rules on the fly". This drastically increases your odds of dying, as one mistake will mean your death.

I think the timer resets if it changes the rules
@ralcogaming76743 жыл бұрын
The poorly defined rules is always something that irritates me in horror movies. It's one thing for characters to be smart and be outplayed its another thing for the rules to make absolutely no sense so there's no stakes because under no circumstances can you actually win. Take bye bye man for instance. That whole movie makes little sense even down to the end, how do you make someone hallucinate to the point they think they're someone else whose currently beating the shit out of them? Obviously your mind does wack stuff occasionally but I don't think you would be able to hallucinate to the point that pain registering on the wrong part of your body wouldn't make you realise something was off. The rules were defined as he can make you see things that aren't real to get you to either kill yourself or another. Yet somehow he also made someone see things that weren't real from another person's perspective. Well defined rules would be something like the early saw movies where following the rules nets a win. Riggs for example only had to do nothing and he would have saved multiple lives including his own. He was told several times to stop but he didn't follow the rules and as a result was shot and killed, and got 2 other men killed (technically 4 if we count the poor sap who was shot by the fbi agent and the fbi agent himself.) Being allowed to change the rules because screw it makes for a poor story as the narrative is that it doesnt matter because you'll just be cheated.

Clearly the best scenario for surviving is following the rules of interdimensional causality, specifically the subsection that details the rules entities possessing houses must follow. The many inconsistencies and updates to the game being played along with how many things are messed with clearly apply for the shenanigans exemption and, more importantly, the fact that the house intruded on the game without being "summoned" or invoked through someone wanting to make the game more interesting could possibly provide you an exemption due to the entity clearly occupying two different categories, (A) standard possessed house (B) advanced gamemaster entity, illegally. Remember folks, you have your rights, contact an interdimensional causality lawyer if you're in a situation where you're encountering something supernatural, there's no reason why anyone should encounter an illegitimate haunting in the 21st century and the only reason why it does is because people don't know their rights.

I hate these films. They bank on the likes of Saw, where people with hidden secrets pay for their sins with their lives. The message the writers try and get across is always some holier than thou type crap, "the bad guys a vigilante who is actually helping society or the victims". They always ignore the fact the person playing God is tenfold worse than the immoral teens they're judging and are just indulging their sick fantasies. Then, the film makers always try to act like there's some message to learn from it; "appreciate life, be honest, don't do drugs". In reality, there's no right or wrong way to live, if you believe there is I don't know what to tell you. Just because someone doesn't live like you doesn't mean they're wrong. Live and let live. No country for old men tackled this problem perfectly, with Anton Chigurh being called out at the end. He masquerades as a neutral force, acting as fate for those he deems worthless; giving them a chance of a 50/50 coin toss. But, in the end it's shown he's just doing it as a power kick.

Rules of Truth and Dare 2017 1. Three Rounds 48 hours, each Truth or Dare in each round is harder than the last but if you got truth in round one then the dare in the second won't be as bad, but the final dare is always deadly. 2. You are allowed to share a dare given. Like say if you are told to be stab four times, you don't have to take four stabs but actually have three other friends take one of the four stabs each and you take the fourth. But even if your friends agree to share the dare you do have to participate at least once or else you are killed and those that share the dare did it for nothing. 3. Try to be smarter than the demon as it will try to use any tricks to decrease chance of survival in the truths or dares as shown with the Russian Rullet Scene. 4. Don't count on outside help as the demon will make sure any dare it gives you that successfully kill you or if you fail to do the dare and it kills you, it will make it look like an accident or suicide or even murder-suicide to NOT raise suspicions. 5. Leaving the house you start the game at doesn't end the game. If anything you risk taking your game to public. Although you can't expect help, it doesn't mean the demon won't use the area you are at to its advantage to make the dares even deadlier. Thus why I brought up murder-suicide in number 4. 5. And most important rule of all: Survive. Game maybe cruel in this version, but at least once all three rounds is up, you are free from the game unlike the 2018 version where you have to keep playing for the rest of your life.
@ashleighstratmann77833 жыл бұрын
Makes you question which version Truth or Dare you prefer: the 2017 version where there are only few rounds but the final round is always deadly. or the 2018 round where once you participate you cannot stop playing until you die.

I do not know if it was mentioned, but....Once they all knew there was something odd with the dares....Couldn't they all just unanimously pick "Truths" only? Why does the Demon get to decide what your decision is, Truth or Dare is asked to the individual. If they all just chose Truths before shit got out of hand; no one would need to die.
@ashleighstratmann77833 жыл бұрын
@@nightdrivenen7909 First off, the demon didn't just randomly pick players who play at that house. Infact that's not even the first house the demon had forced people into playing a deadly games. Donna said so herself when Alex and her friends went to her for advice on how to survive. But it wasn't until later it was revealed that the demon picks players that has heart crushing, deepest secrets or obsessions/addiction. Alex actually started the game is the innocent character of the group as she didn't hold any dark secrets or obsessions in the beginning, but because she agreed to play with her friends, and her part as the reason for in her friend and boyfriend's secret of cheating behind her back, the demon gave her reason to play by first having her make out with Maddy (although that made no sense) then reveal that her boyfriend been cheating on her with her best friend. Besides that most of the truths and dares were mani[pulate by the demon to either reveal the darkest secrets or crushed any obsession they have as well as punish them for it. Secondly, if you do prefer players having some choice in the game, the 2018 version does that somewhat, but with a twist: only two players can pick truth in a row then the next player is forced to do a dare. That wasn't the doing of the demon in that movie's doing as the group who released the demon created that rule when they started the game to make Truth or Dare more interesting and didn't realize it was a deadly mistake until after they realize the demon they release was forcing them to continue playing. The main characters that made up the second group learn that rule the hard way when they agreed to only pick truths only for one friend to be forced into a dare when her turn came up. My guess is they took the questions and dislikes of the 2017 movie and try to use them to make changes in the 2018 version. Whether it was for the better or worse depends on each viewer.
@ashleighstratmann77833 жыл бұрын
And remember what I said in rule one. The first dare isn't as bad even if you didn't get it in the first round compare to what the dares are afterward, but in the end the final round dares are always the deadliest and/or dangerous. Maddy's dare to have teeth pull was proof of that as that was her second turn when you compare it to the other dares, which was given to those that had dares in the first round. Besides, the only other person who got truth in the first round was Addison and she lied and died for it so its not like I have any other examples to go by.

Besides Maddy Tyler and Alex in a love triangle that one of them wasn't aware of. Here's the gist. Jessie: Vegetarian/Vegan. Hates meat, loves most animals but won't hesitate to crush a cockroach due to a fear of them. Luke: Football obsession along with trying to maintain his scholarship thus why he was hesitant about getting his knee crushed. Holt: accidentally ran someone over and fled the scene and never was caught. Addison: Drug addict due to being in a car crash years back causing her pain, but in denial about it (Severe pain actually one of the causes of pain medication addiction) Carter: Besides getting youtube video hits and cameras, he has a secret crush on Addison.

I love that they rationalize that they’re being targeting for doing bad things, but like, none of any of it would’ve happened if they didn’t decide to play truth or dare in the house to begin with. In the first round those who survived getting truth and got dares in the second round got off easy where as ones who got dares on the first round and got dares again in the second had dares harder to survive from.
Both are called Truth or Dare technically, so its easier to identify the versions by the year they were released.
@ashleighstratmann77833 жыл бұрын
I would recommend 2018 it for how to beat, but what's the point when in the 2018 version if you are made to participate you literally play for the rest of your life and as shown in the 2018 version the demon will eventually get you as it always strike when you are at your weakest, whether that's mentally, physically, or both. Plus, because of some characters who set up the game before the main characters, only two players at a time can go with truth before the third person is forced to do dare. Good way to make a normal game interesting, not so good when supernatural forces that wants to kill the players are involved.
@ashleighstratmann77833 жыл бұрын
I know because the main characters in 2018 actually tried to stick with only truth only to find out the demon has a special rule where there can only be two truths back to back forcing the third to choose dare and later it was revealed it was because of the group before them that released the demon who unknowingly at the time got the demon involved decided to make that special rule.

The incident around 15:30 made me think of a loophole a DnD group had (specifically the Rogue) a long time ago. The DM pitted them against a demon, and the demon said that they had to make a deal with it in order to escape. The Rogue asked if the team could have a minute to discuss it over and the demon agreed. Sixty seconds move by and the demon demands them make a deal with it. The Rogue declared that they already had and the demon was obligated to let them pass without harming them. The DM asked for clarification and the Rogue said that the demon agreed to the deal of 'giving them a minute to discuss it over', meaning that the team had already fulfilled the terms of the deal by giving them a minute, and they did indeed discuss things over. They made a deal, the demon agreed, and now the terms were completed.

For the record, you should absolutely cool third-degree burns with cool or lukewarm (not cold) water. You aren't trying to save the dead zones of tissue, you're trying to stop the cooking process that's definitely still happening near those areas so less total tissue ends up damaged. Your first priority by far is to get to a hospital, but cooling should happen on the way if at all possible. Or if you're trapped inside a demon house, cool the burn for the full recommended time of at least 20mins cuz you aren't going anywhere. Sterile water is best for this, but not exactly a common household item. Tap water is fine in most places. You're gonna get blasted with antibiotics and have the wound thoroughly cleaned in the hospital anyway.

Regarding "Rob the gas station", and your solution of just shoplifting... the word the demon used was, "rob", not "steal". Two different things. Rob means you have to take something from someone with force.
@violetswordsman3 жыл бұрын

@michaelsong55553 жыл бұрын
@@violetswordsman Yeah. But stealing the candy bar isn't gonna work, because rob indicates you're taking something from the person. If the casher had a candy bar ON her, then it would be robbing, but not when the candy bar is just out in the open. On the other hand, he could have demanded one of her shoes -- yup, robbing someone of one of their shoes at gunpoint. That's robbing. She'd be very creeped out though.
@voidtectonic3 жыл бұрын
Robbing is taking something with force or the threat of force. Meaning, he could have said he has a gun and that he will use it if he doesn't get to take, well say a juice or candy. That should be enough, he wouldn't even need to show the gun unless the dare demon said so, and even then he could show the gun as he is leaving. Effectively finishing his dare and not getting killed. His life would be ruined, but he would have still had a life to live.

Cooling down a burn isn't a bad idea. Depending on how hot your flesh is you can still be burning. Now burn gel or sterile water would be better but you have to work with whatever you have. Also if you are cooling down a burn you have to be careful not to give yourself hypothermia. Since the skin is a major part of your bodies ability to regulate temperature it could be very easy to cool yourself too much, depending on the amount and severity of the burn. It definitely would have been better to do this in a hospital.
@fatalityin13 жыл бұрын
Such a heavy degree burn should never be cooled down, you doom yourself to loose that extremity. At a specific degree of burn, when your nerves are also fried, you risk hypothermic gangrene, because your body stops the blod flow thinking due to no more response from the nerve receptors that that body part is too cold. Rather wrap it in aluminium foil and if you really want to use water to cool it (which is useless if the nerves are already fried) use lukewarm water.
@aarons69353 жыл бұрын
Most households should absolutely have paraffin cream in their cupboard, incredible stuff.

About the acid thing, hydrochloric acid really isn't that bad, even when concentrated. The devastating injuries you see in acid attacks stem from it being sulfuric acid and from the stuff staying on the victim for a long time, and even that will just irritate the skin if it is washed off quickly. The eyes are a different story, though. If you were to prepare a running shower, the best course of action would actually be to strip completely naked and get under the shower before pouring the bucket, as to minimize the risk of clothing trapping the acid against your skin.

What I do not understand is that they never try to find a way out of the dare with as low pain as possible. For the dare to jump off the roof it did not say how far you need to fall so I would do a simple hop from the roof to the balcony, the acid dare did not say how much acid to pour so I would pour a drop on my head and technically beat the dare, the stove dare at the beginning is easy touch the stove for like a second and that wouldn't give your body enough time to react but technically you did touch the hot stove. Another thing to try is just closing your eyes and just waiting, if you don't know the dare or the rules than you should be safe in theory but I would not try this.
@rottencandy26753 жыл бұрын
yeah, also one thing: it did not say to pour the acid *on* your head, it said to pour it *over* your head. Over had a few slightly different meanings we can exploit here.

While water isn't the best thing for a burn immediately, if you don't do something to cool the burned tissue before you bandage and ointment it, you're leaving the heat in the tissue to cause even more damage. It's the best choice given the circumstances since he doesn't have burn packs or gel on hand to provide that cooling in a sterile fashion. i actually thought the same thing ab alex and maddie. the dares are based off of sins or obsessions that each player has, and maybe liking maddie was a mix of both an obsession and shame for alex, the shame part being internalized homophobia. i mean alex's very first dare was to make out with maddie which definitely implies at least some sort of feelings being between them, and whenever jessie turns the conversation onto her at the end of the second round, her breaking down and crying whilst looking at maddie made that 'theory' a reality for me. if you watch back through the movie, all the signs point to this being the most realistic thing; alex being more upset with tyler about the affair instead of being equally upset with them both, removing more of her own body parts during their shared dare(only one or two things came from maddie if i recall), refusing to kill her even though it was the only choice either of them had in the endgame.. not to mention that alex showed more physical and emotional affection to maddie than she ever did to tyler, who was her boyfriend. i think this movie was aired on syfy, and one thing ab this channel is that they'll have queer subtext in their movies a large majority of the time, especially in their newer releases like the remake of slumber party massacre and never knock(not totally brand new but released within a decade so it still counts).

Finally someone knows this movie. It’s literally sooo underrated and one of my favourite horror movies. No one I know knows about this movie. I really felt bad for Jessie. (Love Alexxis tho)

Have 2 guns, 1 real, 1 fake. Hide the fake one in your belt and then go rob the store with the real one. Successfully walk out of the store with a single candy bar while making it known to the attendant that you're armed and are stealing. They qualifies as robbery. As soon as you leave the premises, swap out the guns and immediately run back and return the candy bar. Explain that you were under duress to rob the place and that the attendant was never in any real danger with the toy gun. Have a friend come in with their phone up as if they were recording the footage and profusely apologize to the attendant and leave the toy gun on the counter as proof. You can't explain the details but know that he was never in danger and that you will leave and never come back. You have successfully completed the dare to the given qualifications of stealing under actual threat and have, hopefully, mitigated any legal troubles with the attendant who will just chalk it up to a weird prank with a toy gun at worst. There are a lot of dares that these kids automatically make the worst out of instead of doing the bare minimum to mitigate the damage of the dare. Hang yourself. Okay, cut the rope so that it can't support your weight. It didn't say until you were dead, it didn't say how long, just as long as you hung from a rope. As long as it was taut, you completed the dare. Doesn't matter that it snapped half a second afterwards. You successfully hung yourself for the fraction of a second the rope held your weight. Or if that didn't work, grab a knife or some scissors and slowly hang yourself and then immediately cut the rope. Jump off the roof? Okay, it didn't say to where. There was a balcony right there. You were on the roof and you jumped off.

Did you watch the video? It literally says you have to hang for 2 minutes. And the jump off the roof, you literally just stole the answer from Nerd lmao

Hate to say it, but your option with putting the cartridge backwards into the gun is invalid. Revolvers (mostly) use rimmed cartridges as is with this one. Again I enjoyed watching your video’s

My first thought for the body parts one was that it didnt specify it had to be their own body, they might have been able to chop up one of the bodies of their dead friends

I love the lady in the gas station blowing the dude away. That would never happen in real life. In every service job I've worked like that I was told to just give them the money so they'll leave. There's no way she'd have a gun either. That would be a massive liability for the company if something would happen that involved that gun.
