This is the only anime where I have seen an old guy is the main protaginst and this time he is the hero. Normally in these kind of animes it's always teenager who is the hero and the older guy is the villian but here it's the exact oppisite which is unique to see and I really liked it. We need more unique animes like Inuyashiki. Way better then most repetitive trash Isekai animes we get nowadays.

Mr. Tonegawa: Middle Management Blues is another anime with an old protagonist and it is hilarious and a masterpiece. It's a side series to Kaiji but can be watched on it's own, would recommend.

I've wondered about why it is always young protagonists in anime and I can't help but think it is a holdover from imperial Japan. There was a strong propaganda drive encouraging enlistment in the military. Though Imperial Japan is gone, I think its ghost still leaves a mark.

26:45 there's only one problem with your plan.... This dude not only has access to cameras on phones and laptops... ATM's and traffic lights have cameras mounted on them or inside them, and even if you get rid of a visual way for him to see you, he has access to THE WORLDS electronics. If you have so much as a space heater he can overheat it and cause an explosion: he can essentially explosive barrel you like an common grunt in an FPS. This strategy has a lot of holes in it.

They actually said that they "only had" Weapon Units (highly strong Alien Military Technology) and the other one said that it is a very bad IDea, because "That would destroy this Planet!". The Alien Commandar was just like: "Not my Problem, hurry we need to go as soon as possible!" Basically: The Aliens didnt know what consquences it would have to destroy 2 intelligent Lifeforms on a different Planet, and decided to restore them, so that their Death doesnt gets exposed immediatly. After that, they have gone away because they would be to late if they would have tried to get something other then Weapon Moduls.

Inuyashiki was such a great show that I highly recommend to anyone. Just recently finished collecting the entire manga. I absolutely love Inuyashiki himself and especially the main villain Hiro for how short the series is they're so so interesting.

I remember reading this a year or so back. I felt so sorry for the poor old guy. I just want to give him a hug and say "you're trying your best, and that's all anyone can ask." At times it felt like a more realistic Superman because even if you're a superhuman you can't save single person on Earth all the time. And at the end I was crying. Let's all pour one out for the old man! And all those good old men in our lives! They don't get nearly as much respect as they should.
