For a guy with a major fear of ghosts, he did absolutely zero research, went alone, sabotaged his own car, and locked himself in the house without knowing of a way out. It's like if someone wanted to go camping in the wild, but had zero experience/did zero research, brought nothing with them, and intentionally tried to get lost. Usually people with phobias are more aware of things that help deter or chase away their fears, so surprised the guy knew very little~

Trueeee. I'm TERRIFIED of deep water. Yet I watch, read and learn so much about how to survive. I'll never be on a cruise but I know what to do if one goes down. I live in a landlocked state but I know how to survive being stranded in the ocean. Hell I even know what to do if my car drives into a lake 😂 Long story short, you're right. Not sabotaging your own escape vehicle and keeping a spare key to the padlock unknown to the viewers would have solved at least 2/3rds of the movie, which is just thinking through what you'll reasonably need as precautions not even against the supernatural, but against the very natural stalkers, junkies, or other random wildlife you might encounter at a location like that. How does someone see a weird symbol, in the only room of a haunted house that is reported to be safe, and not immediately assume it’s there for protection? That was my first thought when I saw that symbol, before HowToBeat explained what it was. Also, maybe I’m just a slightly paranoid person, but when I saw that girl open the door the thought that she might be a ghost immediately crossed my mind. Of course, just the thought wouldn’t be enough for me to act on, but I’d at least be more cautious with her, especially since she appeared immediately after breaking the symbol. Though, in reality, there’s no way I’d ever willingly be in this situation to begin with. And if I somehow did choose to go to that house, I would’ve left the Symbol alone at least until I knew what it was. Then after finding out what it is I would’ve still left it alone.

1:22, even if Shawn doesn't die right away: he'll have to contend with something that CAN'T normally be seen: lead. The house was built in 1880, but lead paint was banned for residential use in the US, starting in 1978. @3:14, plus things like silver daggers and garlic won't do JACK unless you're in something like 1932's "Dracula" or on "The Vampire Diaries". It seems like he just threw together a hodgepodge of stuff after watching a black-and-white monster movie marathon. @4:33: OK, freeze! Bad idea! He should've at least checked first and seen if the chair first is gonna support his weight and made sure it wasn't rickety. He shouldn't have been using his phone for 2 reasons: 1. Using his phone to respond to comments draws power from the battery: if something happens, he won't be able to call for help. 2. Even if He came across a meat cleaver, but DIDN'T arm himself? Plus, children are more sensitive to the paranormal. @12:26, plus the door opens OUT, not IN, so barricading the door is TOTALLY useless! @13:56, suddenly the door is on the INSIDE? What kind of chicanery is that? @20:41, could Chrissy be the ghost? Too coincidental that she knows EXACTLY where to hide. When it comes to ghost hunting or exploring in abandoned structures, the paranormal can be the least of your worries, he should have made sure there wasn’t anyone living in there, this mistake has been made many times but they aren’t always so lucky to figure it out earlier. -thanks for listening to this rant, stay safe❤

It's so disappointing when the person doesn't beat the horror movie. Although in this case the main character really screwed himself over by doing the dumbest thing possible (locking himself in a known haunted house, ruining his car to prevent himself from driving away, not doing research on anything beforehand like the wooden hand symbol, constantly listening to his idiotic audience riling him on, and not questioning the crazy girl that suddenly joined him in a locked haunted house in the middle of nowhere). It was almost annoying how dumb he was being.

Hype for Alice in Borderlands 2. I've made a comment on the previous video listing the Face Card games and how they play out. It's since been deleted, but I am happy to see Season 2 confirm the Face Card games and can't wait to see the tactics you'd propose in them. And of course, have a damn good new year.

In re: Ouija boards. That phenomenon is actually a pretty useful thing to do. I have ADHD and tend to lose things a lot. So I carry around a string and a 'scrying crystal' for when I need to find something, and let my unintentional movements push me towards where I need to be. I've also found stuff by reading Tarot at times.

(Looking at the starting gear) I know that Phasmophobia has covered a bunch of different types of ghosts for their game, so I would use that as a starting point for supplies. Salt works on Wraiths and holy water is only effective on evil/demonic type spirits, which could be humans that were killers/monsters.(like cannibals or sadists that enjoy torturing people to death) I also would bring a couple of smudge(incense) sticks with a lighter, a thermometer gun, and maybe another cross, because one's no going to be enough. A blank book could theoretically pick up the ghosts' thoughts without the ghost being nearby. Again, this is just a starting point. You still need to do more research before starting this ghost hunt.

Whenever you ask "...what would you do?" my answer remains the same - die. I couldn't be bothered to do some complicated stuff to avoid death. Unless I have someone competent giving orders I am dying in any situation, even if theoretically I could think for myself and maybe survive alone, but I am way too lazy.

I had a dream like this with 5 ghosts, apparently there was a place in Calgary (in this dream) that was very haunted with these ghosts that will brutally kill you, you had to say “goodbye, I will see you next time” before you leave or else they will follow you, and brutally kill you, for some reason I kept coming back to life, like a VR game, every time I died. There was this ghost, that was the scariest for me, that was a tall, black haired, pale woman, it was super agile, despite being as thin as a skeleton. I couldn’t run fast enough and it caught me, after that it unhinged it’s jaw and swallowed me whole. I came back to life, as I said, it’s like a VR game, but it reeled so real, there was no headset, for a second I was confused because I thought i wasn’t dreaming for a second, I was surprised I didn’t die. I fell into a pit full of water, with a weird bear. After I came out the bear grabbed a sawfish shark, from the pit, and beat me to death with it. I came back for the third, and. Last time before being possessed. All five of the ghosts started chasing me and I just ran, eventually, they caught up, one pinned me down, and they all started speaking in a language nobody could understand, before cutting my throat, stuffing a snake down it, and possessing me somehow
