smashing stance heavy attack misses half the time. i really dont get why this boss has so much HP. sure its a chapter ending boss, but the fast hes so tanky, dodges back after a lot of moves and has TWO burring attacks make this fight one of the longest in the game.

its crazy how getting weavers needle turns into a whole ass side quest with 2 other bosses to fight but it was a fun experience

I finally beat this boss after like 3 days. I got weavers needle which did help substantially. I just stayed on his right flank or left flank depending on which side I could hit (mostly on his right side). That's where the meat of his hit box was. Every now then a couple hits on the front legs. I maxed out Immobilize spell and had Moon Roam transformation maxed with 4 dots activated.

I’m fighting him right now without the weavers needle. I came get the first phase easily but that damn second phase.. my god, I came so close to beating him with literally two hits left and got caught with a damn attack and kept trying but I couldn’t beat it. I’m surprised I missed the weavers needle though?? I unlocked the area with all the venders and beat the dude with the big sword and seen that you can get some new armor but I couldn’t craft because I was missing a boss item (I’m assuming) then I see that I’m missing the weavers needle?? Wtf I swore I thought I explored everything. Time to go back lol Had the same issue with the ice dragon early on and found the optional beetle boss and that special it gave helped me so much. Was wondering if I was missing something for this one too! Thanks!

I didnt use the needle but somehow heavy attack right before he starts to transform into the 2nd phase did the job, which breaks his stand. Idk, that was probably my 20th or 30th playthrough for this homeboy 😫

Up to this point I've been using Resolute Counter and Skyfall to absorb all the damage and stagger the boss. It does nice damage and I don't have to spend an eternity dodging consecutive attacks, but it don't freaking work with this guy. Even when see-through activate it just misses or he hits me through it. The hit box is wack, and the movement is so janky, especially when he is freaking big, makes everything worse. I can't tell what is going on. Going to look for that needle, and comeback.

Yeah his hit box is janky just like a lot of bosses in the game but other than that he wasn’t to hard. Golden set plus staff spin plus apramana bat shreds this guy into oblivion. I was getting really unlucky with his hit box I even missed a freeze with apramana bat.

I BEAT THE BOSS ALMOST IN THE FIRST TRY WITH WEAVERS NEEDLE BUT HE GOT ME WITH A LIGHTNING ATTACK THEN I TOOK THE SERPENTSCALE COSTUME AND WHEN I DIDNT HAVE ANY HP AND HEALING GOURDS LEFT I JUST KEPT ROLLING TILL MY RED TIDES CHARGED UP AND SMOKED HIM 2 TIMES WITH IT AND HE WAS DEAD.

The only thing that makes this game even remotely hard are the made in china hitboxes, same with the scorpion lords collision box. One thing I noticed is the spear weapon makes this problem even worse because of the piercing strikes it does (especially on this guy) so I changed back to staff and beat him 1st time (the staff strikes sweep more catching his legs)

Hahaha, now I'm ngl as soon as I got the needle🪡 all it took me was one try to beat him. It's just funny because without it it took me over a dozen times to where I at least got him down just a midget below to where he only had a tiny bit of health left where it would have only took one more hit, but as soon as he does that sorry ass ground slam instant K.O. His hitbox is just too wonky. I mean, kinda a lil bad afterwards but I did give it my all beforehand, so eh...at least there that.
