For those who are having trouble, this is what my friend did(because they did the quest for me): - Used kaeya and xiangling’s ult to break the abyss mages’ shield -Used noelle’s ult to kill the ruin hunter -Used ningguang for support/extra damage They also lured the abyss mages out first so they wont have much trouble with the ruin hunter Hope it helps :D

To everyone still struggling with this quest since I died multiple times I would recommend using Barbara to heal Amber to shoot and noel to shield if you have her and shoot from the tower place behind them so you don't get hit by missles

For everyone still having issues with this fight, here's what i did. when you're at the stairs theres a mountain to your right. Climb the mountain and snipe the ruin hunter with a bow user. When the ruin hunter uses its long range attack (signaled by an x it makes with its arms and its eye glowing) aim for its eye to disable it. Use this time to heal and keep shooting at it. It'll take a while but keep repeating this and you'll get rid of it. When you manage to kill the ruin hunter, go in and kill the remaining abyss mages and hilichurls. You can use a cryo user for the hydro mage and a pyro user for the cryo mage.

My simple method right here and now : (almost anyone can do it) 1. Prepare some food like sweet madame 2. Word of advice, kill the ruin guard/hunter FIRST because it the one thing distracting you from actually killing the abyss mages HOW? Get a bow character, I used Amber Get a shield character, I used Noelle Then for the abyss Magee just use whatever character you normally use on them Now just find a rock hill where the ruin guard can't get to you, the right side where there's a slope Get your bow character or amber and shoot the hydro mage for like one time , then the ruin guard should wake up Get your elemental shield ready like using Noelle and then switch your character to Amber. Shoot the ruin guard and if you want to dodge when the shield comes off, just go backwards a bit Just keep aiming and take note of when the shield comes off Then just use as much time you need since there isn't a time limit :) After that just defeat the ruin guard first then come down from your hill hiding spot and defeat the mages and hilichurls

I managed to lure the ruin guard away from the place towards the side and I fought it using Diluc, Noelle's shield, Barbara for healing and Sara's elemental skill and normal attack :) it took some time and barbara died but 💀 and the quest after that with the normal ruin guard that didn't fly felt like a piece of cake

@@porton9513 OH gosh, how time flies so fast. Anyway I recommend switching one of your hydro characters for a Cryo character such as Kaeya or Chongyun. If you want to receive as least damage as possible, you may also want to switch Bennett for a shielder if you have Geo characters such as Zhongli or Noelle (Zhongli for Absolute def, Noelle if you want a versatile shielder with Sub-DPS capabilities and Heal) Always hit the Hydro Abyss Mage first. If you attack the cryo one immediately they will keep freezing you until you get rid of the hydro effect status, you can kill the Hydro one with Cryo/Pyro/Electro/Geo Attacks of your choosing (don't forget to dodge even with Geo Shield since Noelle's C0 shield is weak) after killing the Hydro Mage you attack the Cryo Mage ASAP. Once they're both dead you can use the ruins to avoid the Hunter Missiles, I recommend Hitting it's Eye(weakness) from long range with a bow user such as Fischl or Amber to disable it, this will give you the ability to attack freely for about 15-30s-ish. Repeat it until the hunter is dead, and that's basically it! If you need any help please do reply :)

Another thing I learned - if you actually manage to kill an enemy, that enemy stays dead while the game is active. Idk if they reappear when you log out, but you can teleport out of the fight after killing one enemy, heal, and come back and kill the others at your leisure

Here’s a tip: use dendro traveler to do extra damage and it’s ok if level 1 talents but I recommend to level up the talents so that the traveler will do extra damage, Hope this helps!

Ok I ended up beating this quest a few weeks ago, and from what I remember i really just leveled up my characters as much as I could. I think at this time they were level 50-something. I shot down the ruin guard with amber used noelles sheild and just kept hammering it with beidous elemental attacks. After I took care of the ice abyss mage, then the water one.

Hi everyone so I’ve realised recently that a lot of people are struggling on this quest so I’m going to tell you how I beat this quest hope it helps! So first of all I got my first five star recently which is yelan but if you don’t have a five star that’s ok I just recommend using higher leveled characters. So in my team I used lvl 40 Yelan, 50 traveler, 47 chongyun and 44 noelle. I recommend using a hydro and cryo character so you can freeze the ruin hunter thing and buy yourself more time. If you are new you can bring Barbara or kaeya. Next if you have noelle I definitely recommend her since she has a shield and that will save you some health and time. Ok so first you need to kill off the abyss mages first. You can easily do that by by using a bow character and shooting them afar so that it triggers them but not the ruin hunter. When they teleport to you, you can just kill them off. If you are running low on health, teleport to a statue of the seven because when you come back the enemies you killed will be dead but all the other enemies that are alive will have regained their health but so have you. Then when it is only the ruin guard just take advantage of the elements and reactions. If you have higher levels characters than the ruin hunter it will help a lot. Bring food too if you are low! Finally, don’t be scared! It’s ok and don’t let this quest stop u I believe in you because this quest scared me so much I almost quit genshin. If you are still terrified, grind some primos and get a five star. I’m free to play so i recommend doing single pulls not ten pulls. Good luck!!!

just when i was about to start losing hope, i somehow did it after like 7-8 trials. So like most people i lured the abyss mages out first, then went back to restore my HP from the nearest statue of sevens (i literally ran out food) and then defeated the arrow guys and after dying in that process i just simply came back and only the ruin gaurd was remaining and i was about to die again but then i finally killed itt. this was by far the most difficult one i gotta say- coming from someone who defeated Childe at one go

I drew the abyss mages out and defeated them first without being bothered by the ruin hunter, after that I killed the archers then the ruin hunter. I think the key is to try to draw them out separately, it's impossible to do it all at once. Xiao was my DPS, Ningguang support, Barbara Healer and Zhongli shield. Wasn't too hard when they were separated.

You can do it! What I did is I used a shielder and healer to more comfortably take the ruin hunters attacks, and use a bow character on a peak to hit it from a distance. After I used a Dendro char to get rid of the hydro mage’s shield, and then I used a Pyro char to get rid of the Cryo mage’s shield. The key is using ranged attackers with good elements. Some examples: 1. Tighnari 2. Yoimiya 3. Kujou Sara 4. Collei 5. Amber Shielders and Healers 1. Zhongli 2. Kirara 3. Xinyan 4. Ningguang (she’s what I used, her Jade Screen blocks ranged attacks) 5. Jean 6. Barbara 7. Qiqi 8. Bennett 9. Sayu These are just a few. I recommend using categories including: 1. Bow characters 2. Electro, Pyro, and Dendro characters 3. Shield Characters 4. Healers 5. Supports. Dps’s don’t work here, unless they’re really tanky/are ranged attackers, (eg, Tighnari.) Running into the battle isn’t gonna help you. Steps if you aren’t a fan of loose tips: -Go on the mountain with a shielder and set up their shield -Use a bow char to snipe the ruin hunter -Make sure your shield is always up -Use a healer whenever health gets red -Repeat until Ruin Hunter dies -Go down -Kill the mages with a Pyro and a Dendro char, preferably a ranged attacker. Make sure to take them ONE AT A TIME. If you try and attack both of them, they’ll freeze you and sweep your team. Make sure to keep you shield up. -Kill the extra hilichurls Ur done! This quest took me about a year to complete, and it sucks, but stay strong and keep trying! Make sure to charge attack with bow characters, ruin hunters have physical res

Here’s what I did! 1- make sure you have amber and fischl or at least a electro shooter, 2- go to the tree and shoot the ruin hunter in the eye with Amber once then switch to fischl and shoot him in the eye again which will cause him to fall down.. 3- once he’s down shoot him with fischl again then switch to Amber and shoot.. 4- Keep doing those steps then you should be able to pass! I took out the Abyss Mages first. I made them notice me for the first time and then lure them away from the Ruin Hunter (and the Ruin Guard in the mountains after this). I had Razor, Yanfei, Chongyun, and Barbara. After dealing with the mages and the hilis, I then distanced myself and then swapped Razor to Fischl. Afterward I commenced the fight by stunning the annoying hunter and let Chongyun and Barbara freeze that son of a bitch. Yanfei was the one doing all the damage along with Oz for the overloaded. The first time I did it however, I accidentally awoken the Ruin Hunter so I was literally fighting for dear life because Razor, Yanfei, Chongyun went 0HP and I had only Barbara luring the Hunter until I could revive Razor and later on Yanfei. Edit: As a tip, make sure to eat something that'll boost your team's CRIT + DMG!!! Don't forget that this whole battle relies *_heavily_* on elemental reactions.

Guys instead of this. When climbing the stairs to the ruin, there's a small-ish mountain on your left, climb it and use your strongest bow character (Fischl for me) and used their charged attacks. When the ruin guard is about to throw meteors at you, use your bow to hit it in the eye and paralyse it. If you fail, run to the other side of the peak and take cover and then come back to hitting it in the eye. The abyss mages cannot teleport up there so once you're done you can use your bow on them too. Keep food incase you can't dodge. Also some people say the guard moves to a place where its impossible to shoot it, I reccomend somehow bringing the guard close to the tree that's in the centre and then shooting at it from the hill. It didn't move from there when I fought it. My Fischl did a good 200-400 dmg, I am nooby af so if I can beat it, you can too. Good Luck!

Yes from world level 5 you can lower to 4. You need to unlock 5 to be able to change it though

i lured the two abyss mages away and beat them behind obstacles, then used noelle, running under the ruin hunter, dps and keep moving, seems to result in less dmg taken, the big fellow sometimes just get disoriented or what, idk.

I got through this part but cant with the second 😭😭 EDIT: I FINALLY DID IT!! Here's how: (fyi im talking about the second part with the ruin guard and 2 mages) Characters used: Lvl 60 anemo traveler, lvl 50 xiangling, lvl 38 barbara, and lvl 60 chongyun The most important thing you wanna do is stock up on the food that gives u extra crit and defense. things like jade parcels, Qingce stir fry, and potions. after that just go ham. i tried the lure method and somehow won but it bugged for me after that and i had to beat them again. so i just decided to beat them altogether. i went for the pyro mage first with chongyun and cryo next with xiangling and traveler. i only rlly used xiangling for gooba tho so you can switch her out with amber if you want. then by dodging the attacks i defeated the hilichurls and just spammed all of my elemental reactions on the guard. the 2 most important things would just be food and dodging the guards attacks, with that i didnt even use barbara that much. hope that helps! :)

i just beaten the fight just now using my own interesting but slow cheesing spot you go to the top of the mountain(? my english is not very good) on the left and just bow spam the hunter you can bow spam the mages too if youre too weak to fight them

It took me hours and I cried, but I finally did it, here's what I did I had a ton of food as the vide said, I'd also recommend something to make your sprint take less (if that makes sense) I used: Rosaria Razor Barbara Xiangling (She was barely used, other than for cannon fodder) I lured the abyss mages away and killed them separately, then I went to the ruin guard. Whenever he was on the ground, I'd hit him with Barbara as much as possible, after that I'd freeze him with Rosaria, then hit him again with Razors elemental attack witch would super conduct, then hit him as hard as possible while his defense was lowered. When he was up in the air, since I didn't have a bow character, I was just running, this is where I used xiangling, because it didn't matter if she got hurt and when he was back in the ground Barbara would heal. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah that happened to me but I beat the quest My problem was that I kept going into it without very much food but very powerful food I recommend going in with more food Zeny plus attack bonuses or defense bonuses. Also make sure you check with your enemies are beforehand know how to elemental combat that . Try your best to make sure they don’t die if so make sure you’re revival food gives an HP of at least 1000 so they don’t die after one hit
