The worst part of this film, as a veteran who runs in these circles, is that there would have been multiple veterans in the group. Likely a couple retirees. I'm not saying they would have survived, lack of firearms in an ambush situation and all. However, they would not have gotten off the bus in the first place. They would not have gone wandering the woods. Finally, they would not have stayed at the first house because it's obviously not their accommodations. They certainly would have been ambushed and likely killed with the bus driver though.

I'm not so sure about the conclusion that staying with the bus was the way to beat this. After all, the bus driver was later found dead. That tells me that the militia *expected* the bus and passengers to either stop turn around at the roadblock, and that was part of their ambush plan. By taking the dirt road to the strange cabin, the team inadvertently *avoided* the initial ambush. This would also explain why the team only dealt with a single guy at first. The team was at the militia's base of operation, and the main assailant was just the first one back. In that case, the team was doing the correct thing *until* they reached the cabin and... promptly took zero steps to fortify.

That shotgun likely would not have fired the second time. Double barreled shotguns have two triggers. No way Blondie realizes that. I assume this not because she's a chick, but because she thought she was getting a third shot out of a shotty with no tube. She yanks the first, more obvious, trigger for the initial assailant. The second trigger wouldn't even register for her.

13:13 I wanted to think that too, but trauma is a bitch. I have ended up in some gruesome situations. You can be screaming in your head to hold still or to run and you just can't. As far as I know, If you're in enough horrible situations you learn to control it or you get PTSD and it gets worse. I think that's why police officers have to quit sometimes.
