Honestly feel like every light saber boss in this game is terribly made. They usually rely on some gimmick (like roll away, or dodge force push) and don’t allow players to be creative and reactive. It’s like the developers wanted everyone to play the game the exact same way, and it’s garbage and lazy boss making. The rest of the game is fun usually

@@Not-an-Alien you should parry her first in order to stun her a moment. It's just a game about wait her attack, parry and counter. It has been a long time since i beat this game. What i remember this isn't extremely difficulty boss. Learn her movement, parry each parriable swing, she gets stun, attack her with some combo to destroy her guard easily then hit her.

I’m playing on Jedi Master. She isn’t too hard to dodge but whenever you do mess up every once and a while, her damage output is way too high, you get punished for making the most simple mistakes

Yeah that is one of my issues with this game, the bosses seem hard but is because they hit so hard not because they're complex, the answer for almost all of her moves is the same, for a game that takes inspiration from the games made by Fromsoftware her attacks have very little tracking, she doesn't overshoot the attacks a bit to cover more distance in case the player tries to out space the attacks or mindlessly roll away, she has no timing mix-up in her attacks to trick the player nor she has close to similar combos with subtle differences to confuse the player on top of that you can tell when she's done with a sequence of decision and when she decides to locate the player and begin attacking. She just hits hard which makes her look like a hard boss, that's all.

@@heyblasty8614 That is exactly what happens in FromSoft games too. The damage output is way too high. If you are playing the game on a higher difficulty, expect a higg damage output unless you wamt bragging rights. Thw damagw output is not high on easy difficulty. Secondly, the enemy AI is complex simply because they have a variety of attacks so that you have to figure out what all attacks they do and learn the pattern. If you do this you can figure out when to dodge and parry and attack. It is a great combat puzzle. And b) because the enemy is simply aggressive.

@@sparshbansal6624 I disagree with you on damage output being way to high, its true that the bosses hit hard but how hard the fight becomes for you damage wise it is entirely up to you due to the nature of the rpg system, if you're struggling with a boss you can just postpone the fight, explore get stronger and come back with better tools or stats to deal with the boss and maybe if you were getting one shot or 2 shot next time you'll be able to sustain 3 to 4 shots depending on your point allocation, this is something Fallen Order doesn't have and if you're getting one shot by Trilla on the hardest difficulty the way to make it easier for the player is by giving the player the option to lower the difficulty which is ok because the game doesn't have those sort of rpg options souls games offer. Also the idea of "if you get a higher difficulty expect high damage" is the reason why devs come up with lazy designs and don't invest in dynamic difficulty, the psychological practice of making a boss hit hard so it appears to be a more intelligent/tougher/complex AI is not something i want to see from future games. While i do agree that damage should be increased if the difficulty is set to something higher i don't agree with getting 1 shot or 2 shot by Trilla. To my understanding complexity is much more than having a variety of attacks. A complex AI not only offer a variety of attacks but it also a variety of options to the player based on what the player does or goes position wise. A complex AI also has moves that challenges the player's ability avoid timing mix-ups between similar moves, as well as expose the player's tendencies and punish the player for doing so like having deliberate attacks to force panic rolls. Trilla is a rusher with only 2 move pool options, she either has to be in your face to select from a pool of moves in close range or far, her behavior is predictable between attacks, the timings between the end of her attack the start of her next attack feel the same every time and if we're counting move set she has 12 moves she can dish at you which I admit is a good amount but my answer for the majority is to wait outside of her reach till post animation and punish with a sprint strike plus one more attack, there's no incentive to stick to her and im not forced to do so either. Pontiff on the other hand has over 20 moves it can dish at you, has options when you're close, mid, far, left side, right side and behind it. His attacks contains Honest attacks, delayed ones, deliberate and mixes up timings between combos that start similar but end differently, feels unpredictable even when idle, punishes for healing in front of him, panic rolling, being greedy and has a noticeable second phase (not my favorite 2nd phase but is aight). This to me this is complexity. Lastly while I don't mind the fact Trilla is a rusher/aggressive AI (I like it actually) I do mind that throughout the game the players are conditioned to adopt a playstyle that trilla completely counters. A final boss is supposed to be the one moment where the player's ability is tested and while the test is there mechanically the playstyle you adopted is not and now you have throw that away and re-learn how to approach a boss again because even tho your aggressive playstyle worked against a boss like Malicos it wont work with Trilla the same way. I've had players come to me telling me that boss is a pain only to have it easier when I tell them to adopt a more passive style when fighting Trilla. I'm not saying that's the way to fight her, you can go ham and do well but for the majority of the casual audience the tale is different. Btw i have nothing against the dev team, this is their first time on this genre and they did a great job, i have nothing but respect for them and im looking to see the next game they do.

@@heyblasty8614 *Complex AI leads to complex gameplay. Complex AI is determined by a wide variety of routines that an enemy AI has. It forces players to adapt to a given situation using the gameplay mechanics of the game . Here is a list of Trilla'd movesets that prove that her AI is very complex which in turn leads to complex gameplay* : 1. A flurry of four blockable attacks is here, and by now you've had an entire campaign with which to hone your deflecting skills. What makes this a fun challenging puzzle is that Trilla can transition fluidly from blockable to unblockable attacks. If you pay attention, you dodge out of the way in case of an unblockable attack and parry a blockable one. How is this random and not specific? It is very logical. 2. Trilla has some tremendous range on her attacks, and she can zip to you at a moment's notice from across the arena. Just maintain distance and pay attention. 3. Around the two-thirds health mark, she'll zip away and start to taunt you. If you can get to her quickly enough in this moment, you can get some really nice attacks in while her defences are lowered. But be careful, because this taunting process will abruptly end with an unblockable lunge. 4. Probe Droid will appear and start to fire at you. You can easily dispatch it either by using Force Pull and ripping it to shreds or, if you have more time, deflecting its bullets back at it until it starts to self-destruct, and then maneuvering it so that the explosion hits Trilla and not you. 5. You'll enter the second phase of the fight, and this is where she unveils three of the most complex moves in the game that show how much work was put into her AI. The first is an evolution of her old unblockable grab attack. This is now one of her zippy attacks where distance does matter, and if you don't roll out of the way quickly enough, she'll suck your brain out or something. 6. The second most complex move that showcases the brilliance of AI is her lightsaber throw combo. This is a blockable attack, but she has a habit of chaining together multiple throws extremely quickly - as in, every time it returns to her, she immediately throws it again. Sometimes this happens just once, sometimes it happens three or even four times in a row before she desists. The good news is that they're all deflectable, and can deal a fair amount of damage to her if you deflect all of them. 7. The third most complex move is her ground slam, which is a carbon copy of what the Ninth Sister does in your fight against her earlier in the campaign. It's easy to jump over the shockwave when you see it coming, but she loves to abruptly transition to this move during her close-range blockable attacks. Your best bet is just to gain as much distance from her as possible if you see her do the telltale horizontal spin through the air. 8. she'll occasionally drop flash bombs which will momentarily blind you. They're not that big a deal. 9.And the other move to watch out for is when she throws her lightsaber and it starts to orbit around her. This is actually one of her weakest moves, because as long as you're quick enough to close the distance and get inside the orbit of the lightsaber, she's completely defenceless and you're able to get a couple of strikes in for free. 10. If you’re playing on the hardest two Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order difficulty settings then you need to watch out for an additional attack where she throws her lightsaber at you and then follows up with a series of strikes.

Late response, but once you adapt to the delay, it's pretty easy to time blocks/parrys. Like other people have pointed out, this was done intentionally to stop button mashing. It's definitely strange, but within like 3 days of grinding the game, I could easily take out groups of enemies while taking minimal damage.

The bosses have rhytm, specific movesets for long range and short range... This boss feels like playing mortal kombat against someone who just mashes all the buttons... @@erikfarkas7868 Are you slightly stupid? This boss also has a specific range of attacks. After those attacks, it starts repeating itself. Like every Dark Souls or Sekiro boss fight, this boss has a pattern because it is impossible to make an AI that has no pattern because ultimately every AI has a script, this AI, too, has a list of moves. That moveset is very detailed and a little complex but once you learn that moveset, it is very easy to defeat her. If that wasnt the case, why would the guy in the video be able to defeat Trilla? He even called the boss easy. Secondly, it is easy to defeat someone who just mashes all the buttons in Mortal Kombat becauss they dont know what they are doing. It is tougher to beat someone in Mortal Kombat who isnt button mashing and actually knows what they are doing. Your comment proves one thing: you have no idea how to play Mortal Kombat, Jedi Fallen Order or Dark Souls. Maybe a game like Red Dead 2 is much more your speed.

Ogdo is super easy. Malicos is tough but this chick is OP. She varies the combos far too fast. First phase is easy but after that she gets crazy and it is very tough to find the right timing... Would be nice for a more detailed guide from phase 2 to the end especially regarding the timing.

ATTENTION: REAL HELPFUL TIPS TO BEAT THIS WITCH IN THIS COMMENT! I just blocked and dodged all her moves. And in her vulnerable moments, just split saber her. Take a lot of her health and sometimes staggers her for you to get more hits on her. Remain close for it to happen though. - Stay back for her shock wave and her behind the back spin moves. But other than that, split saber is a life saver - when the flash goes off, just roll to the side. Just to be safe from blind attacks from her. - Force push or force pull her to stop her animations. I got a couple hits off of her from this as well. - Don't stress dying over and over, every time you die, you learn from your mistake. Took me an hour and a half to beat her. And my end result method is being shared to you guys. - I recommend you have AT LEAST 5 stim canisters on you. - Without being said, AVOID her grabbing you and screwing up your mind. majority of my deaths was from that and shock wave. - Use Cal's slow ability for her if you need breathing room or if you need to heal. As well as using it on Trilla when she dashes. I slowed her when she was in her vulnerable state when I was far away and so had time to reach her and split saber her - DO NOT roll backwards when she dashes you. Her character can still potentially reach you. Always roll to the side Good luck to you all. May the force be with you.

Beat the game on grandmaster, Definitely hardest boss in the game took me over 20 tries, As advise always dodge and wait for the right moment to counter attack which is when she is done doing her combos, Don't even bother parrying as her stamina bar is way too strong and you won't be able to break it only parry if necesary to avoid a fast strike coming from her and then roll away, I recommend using force to slow her down and then attack her with a sprint strike whenever possible, and also unlock the skill that allows you to refill your force when using stims so you can actually take half of her health using the strong lightsaber combo repeatedtly as shown in the video.

Fight is actually really easy once you realise that you can just use force push to lower her guard, and then use the Split Saber move to take a huge chunk of her health. Just use the stim canisters to refill your force.

I had 4 stims when I fought her in jedi master and I reached the last end of the fight with no stims and little health and she began the sequence of throwing her lightsaper move which is three times nut no SHE THREW IT FOUR TIMES and I got killed in the fourth throw after perfectly parrying the three. This fight was so frustrating at first becouse of all her diffrent combos she can do. Her initial attack in each combo is easy to spot but what is causing many ppl to fail here is how fast she can adapt and switch up her combo moves. I am a hardcore Sekiro player so i very mutch like the full thottle all out fight style and in general that works well but with her having so many ways of switching up her combos, this fight was definatly a tough 1 using that playstyle.

The way I beat this boss is just ridiculous. I spammed double jump and constantly threw my lightsaber at her. It created a good distance between us while enabling me to still get good hits on her. But I don’t recommend this if you’re actually trying to get good at the game.

The biggest boss fight in this game is the constant freezes/locks it does to your computer and your CPU fans are suddenly overworking.

I also hate that even if you hit her first her attack will not be cancelled, It happened that to me a lot. Unlike the other boss they attacks can be cancelled if your attack hit them first.

I dunno if this was told somewhere but while I was attenting to the Trilla final battle I found out an exploit to defeat it. So YOU MUST take her health bar to the point where she calls in the Probe Droid. When she calls in DO NOT KILL the Probe Droid and keep your distance from both of them by standing at the other corner of the room. If you do this, Trilla will ONLY do Saber throws. With this, if you parry them back, it will throw her saber to Trilla making damage and will do until the last second of the battle if you do not kill the Probe Droid. If you kill it, well she comes to you and battle goes on.

Also when you play at Jedi Master level or Jedi Grand Master level, there is a probe droid that comes out to help her beat you. That droid doesn't come out during the two lower levels of Story Mode or Jedi Knight level.

Just beat the game, so awesome! Was watching Trilla cutscenes and stumbled upon this haha. Was very tempted to look up a guide but I persisted and an hour and a half later I finally beat her. I created a ton of distance and when my force bar was charged enough I’d hit her with a small force push each time she’d sprint to me and get in two small strikes in that window. That and deflecting her lightsaber throw back, very slowly but surely did the trick. Funny how every new villain or creature you face seems overwhelmingly difficult until you’ve faced them (and died) enough times then they’re basically nothing. Nonetheless, amazing game, story and characters. Trilla was my favorite, glad in a strange way that she was such a difficult boss and sad that Darth Vader didn’t kill me. Oh well...

You dont have to, all you need to do is give her space and punish when she's done doing the attack, i say this in the beginning, I show the moves for those who are looking to memorize her moveset and know how to deal with it. Also for the shockwave pay attention to the animation, you will see her do a windup with her arm indicating she's going for the attack, you have enough time to react and jump it since the animation is pretty long.

Heyblasty yea so basically what I did was I’d punish her after she finished one of her combos then force push, hit her three times and repeat until I’m out of force power then just keep punishing her Combos like in your video until I needed to revive and then repeat all of that. Played on Jedi master difficulty

You can force openings by rushing in on her. If you attack three times she will block followed by a small lightsaber “clash” animation, after which she goes aggro. Always roll to the side after the clash animation. She will choose either the unblockable forward stab, a big overhead swing, or roll away. If she chooses the first two, you’re behind her and can get in three swings. If she rolls away, try again. I get her to half damage like this easily. If you’re lucky you can get her to more than half before she starts the droids and flash bangs.

This really helped! I started to recognize some of the attacks, but most importantly I learned you can just punish her with split saber and then heal and repeat. Kicked her ass on Jedi master!

If you run up to her right away then do the slow down force move thing when you're like 5 strides away or so you can launch into that cross slash move at 5:28 and take off half her health right there. The first attack should replenish your force thinger, then while she's still down on ground you can step forward and do the attack another 2 or 3 times while also pushing her into one of the corners. Once she's up then you can do about 3 regular attacks and jump away.

Finally beat her! Yes it has a lot to do with this dudes dodging recommendations, but I wish I knew to use Slow & force push with her back to the ledge (so she’s not out of reach and you’re not wasting time chasing her). Knocking her down and a combo of quick and heavy attacks really helped. Also, when she throws her lightsaber it’s easy enough to time out the block and knock it back into her for some easy damage. WISH I WAS TOLD THAT IN THIS VIDEO!

This boss was not worst for me on grand master it took me maybe five times, definitely still tough. The thing that got me a couple of times was her unblockable grab and then soul sucking attack basically a one shot kill it got me like three times. Parrying her can be tricky as she does that btbs attack but once that was down I got her. Anyways good video bro 😎

Or you can damage her until she gets into the second phase and then take a lot of distance between her and you and just parry each one of her lightsaber throws. Depending on her health it can take 2-4 parrys to damage her. She has another attack which is ground slam and just jump when she does that and she also approaches you every attack so keep your distance.

Then tried your strategy of kiting her, dodging, and punishing after, and got it first try. Also doing the split saber attack plus slow is great for getting big chunks off of her.

That's the key man, Trilla hard punishes aggressive players, its sad tho cause the game rewards you for being aggressive and gives you the tools to do so but when facing trilla, it just feels counterintuitive and yeah split saber does good chunks. GG friend

Cheesy win: slow her, walk up and split saber attack. She'll roll back but if you've pushed her to a wall can keep split sabering to add damage. Repeat until out of force, stim to fill force, and repeat. She didn't even have time to summon the droid due to being slowlocked. Btw you can pull and hack the droid, she isn't very good at destroying it except by accidental saber throw, and it'll interrupt her combos.

I must have died like a 100 times or more, for real. I think I spent 4 hours (spread in 2 days) to finally kill her. And I only got to kill her because I found a fucking glitch. Once her blood reaches the middle level and the flying droid appears, just keep getting the right counters when she throws the saber and the double bump when she throws the shock wave. Keep enough distance so the droid doesn’t shoot you, because for that to work you must not kill the droid. Just keep doing that until her blood reaches a really lower level, then the second droid comes up and you have to deal with them all. It becomes a lot easier.

Personally found the strongest weapon against Trilla is the simple force push, stops her "unblockable" attacks and let's you get in a few free hits. That combines with dual end lightsaber for easier blocking should be all you need 🙂
