How to beat Yellow Wind Sage | Black Myth Wukong Boss Guide

A super useful tip that has been pointed out is to use the WIND TAMER vessel to massively simplify the last phase of this fight. It provides massive damage reduction and IMMUNITY to wind abilities. To get the Wind Tamer vessel, you need to complete the secret realm of Chapter 2 - which you can access by completing the 'Drunken Pig' and 'Stone Man' side quests. This boss feels like it's meant to filter out as much of the player base as possible. It's unlike anything you've come across before in the game. Is there anything else before him in the game with this many moves and ways to mess you up? Half the bosses, I'd stumble across completely unprepared and defeat the first or 2nd try. The other half only took a few tries to learn their moves and time the dodges to win the fight. Then you get to this guy. Definitely my least liked boss so far.

Yeah the Tiger boss would be the other hardest so far, people strugglign with that too. Most other Yaoguai Kings are easy to get within the first 1-3 attempts or so.

So far this is the only boss I’ve been stuck on for more than 20 attempts (I dislike souls-ish games and this is the first one I’ve genuinely enjoyed, I’ve also heard it’s more like Sekiro). Bro, thanks. I beat him after watching this guide. Guys, you have to execute everything perfectly, always attack 2 times. Don't be greedy, don't execute combo. Just 1 dodge 2 attack, sometimes 2 dodge 2 attack. Also, get the red tides spell. And use him at 3rd phase while he is doing this annoying tornado. Red tides is not affected much from tornado, it doesn't launch you to the air. Also he is very powerful. Now after beating him, everything seems easier now.

I don't understand how people actually are able to remember this many attack variations and react to them accordingly during boss fights like this. I have ADD and a real hard time remembering stuff like this in the heat of battle, and also my reaction time is way too slow. After fighting him like 5 times I've hardly even managed to scratch his life bar, and he just pwns me outta the park. 😵

Don't be mistaken, I don't get to know the attacks like this in just a few attempts. I don't reckon anyone would remember all this as it happens without practicing. It takes me a good few attempts to learn most of the abilities smoothly like that - realistically you could beat him getting only half or 3/4 of these abilities down pat, I just learn them more so that I can show how to deal with each ability.

@@ShadowBreaker52 go to the secret area sahali, kill the boss with yellow sage, he will help you. And get that second weapon slot item, use it on the second phase of yellow sage, it will make the all wind gone, so no special moves just normal like the first phase moves. But you would want to git gut, try learn every move set. Cuz way worse bosses are waiting for you bro

Beat him before work this morning. Definitely would recommend using the spirit with the eyeballs on his back. Unleash everything on him whilst he’s within the perimeter of the glowing red staff, it significantly increases your damage on him

You can use wind tamer a second time if you use it right away, but you gotta weather the storm in towards the end and use up enough time so it can be used a second time.

@@eriiclara get the wind tamer vessel before you fight him,use it on his second stage,make it a lot easier. 4th chapter end boss goes hard,but there's another vessel that helps, so get that first,vessels must be key to beating end bosses. Starting 5th chapter now.

Huge FYI for anyone who hasn’t beaten this boss yet, if you want to breeze through his last 30-40% use the WIND TAMER vessel. It stop him from using all of his wind abilities, no tornadoes no magic nothing. He just uses regular physical attacks. Basically makes him a joke and you can just wail on him. Until the vessel runs out

At this stage I think better to stick to one. With current skill level points you want to be able to get to the bottom of skill trees in general and I don't think there's much benefit in wasting an entire other stance tree of points. I could be wrong and there are probably good uses for having one or two points in other stances but I haven't really tested that much yet.

Not actually sure, mid 30s I think maybe 40. I'm using the Wandering Wight Spirit which gives passive defense that might be helping. I don't think there's too many other defense related items/skills that I'm using

damn i beat him on my 3rd try. i found his moves to be easy. i just stayed near his feet and kept giving him them combos and once he was done being stunned i would heavy attack and stun him again. i waited awhile before using the wind chime

If you get the wind tamer vessel it will take him out of the second wind form you have to use it while he is in that form though

I will include more of the build as we unlock more stuff in future vids. For now, on the Wind Sage fight my spark points were: - Entire stamina tree except Feather fall and Focussed breath. Though focussed breath looks valuable I just haven't got it yet. Dodge is king though so put plenty of points into stamina. - Martial Arts I have the entire left side branch for light attacks, nothing on right. - No survival yet. - In Staff Stances I have all 3 Exhilaration points, three points in Versatility and then all but the capstones points in the Thrust stance - In Alteration I have the entire Rock Solid tree but mostly because I was testing. If you don't like it just chuck those points somewhere else.

I didn't include them in this but if it's helpful I'll do it in the future. For now, in this video I had the entire Stamina tree (stamina and dodges are vital), the left hand side of the martial tree (light attacks), and most of the Thrust stance tree with points in Exhilaration and whatever else you like below it to progress the Thrust tree as much as you can. I don't have much in spells because in these videos I focus more on mechanics rather than dumping the boss with spells - so buff whichever spells you like most.

I fought Yellow wind sage 3 times last night and got him to 1/4 health, so shouldn't be too bad for my experience level, but I came here just to see how others were going with the game :) Everyone will have different difficulties with different games.
