When you said beatmatch like the experts i thought carl cox or laidback luke old school beatmatching with only pitch faders so the jog spin dont make the song sound weird but anyway, good video

Hey! Thanks a lot for the tutorial it helped me a lot! Mixing 2 tracks with different bpm : lets say 1st track 123 2nd track 125. I ajust 2nd track to 123. When the 2nd track is on do i slowly put the bpm to the 125 ?

Idk if this is a dumb question but i was wondering is there a way to beat match a song with like for instance 89bmp to 126bpm with out the 89 being raised to sounding to fast? Because there are some songs that would sound dope together but dont want the speed ruining it
@indigosurf6 жыл бұрын
You'd have to for starters use songs in the same key, and then use a vocal break or be very creative with some effects, otherwise it's extremely undoable.

Just got XDJ’s and the tracks drift even with the new firmware and rekordbox software all songs are analyzed but they still drift is there any settings to change this? Thanks
@gustavdjtutorials6 жыл бұрын
Did you set them both to the right bpm?
@nevs89976 жыл бұрын
Frazer Hamilton I’ve noticed this also, i seem to remember when playing songs through rekordbox some of them have bpms to 2 decimal places so they’re not the exact same bpm so you may have to keep adjusting every now and again to keep them matched.

How was transitioning from your XDJ controller to CDJs like for the first time when you went gigging? Curious about funding into an XDJ controller so I dont have to pour all my money onto CDJs just to practice for nightclubs and such. Thanks!
@charlieswan3226 жыл бұрын
Depending on the type of CDJ's you get. The Nexus range is way easier compared to the CDJ-2000 and other models below that. Mainly cause the waveform are super small where you get 2 on the nexus. Beatmatching if you are good at it becomes easy, its just the timing of transition which is where you can stuff up as you can't always completely tell where you are on the song to make that transition sound smooth. But if you want to actually get good at mixing, I recommend buying the CDJ's below the nexus's as you won't get as much help compared to the newer CDJ's. XDJ's are good when it comes to getting used to the layout of the Club standard stuff, but everyone just stares at the b2b waveform to adjust the beat grid so they don't really learn to properly beatmatch through their ears.

Only mixing a couple of bars.. Is that why you kids call it "transitions"? We used to do running mixes for ages with vinyl. Seems a bit strange to just be blending tiny bits of tracks from one to the next. More like being a jukebox than getting creative.
