Amazing conversation. One of the reasons that I recommend to my audience to learn about basic economics and how their companies operate. These will help you envision stakes much better, which will help you allow you to create solutions that will add the most value

Problem is developers may not be amazing software "designers" but are pushed into that role. Instagram didn't take many lines of code to write but became a billion dollar company. The developers that worked on there are 10x developers in the business growth sense. The developers solved the right problem for a need in high demand. I think it seems developers have a hold on the design of software and need to loosen up. Or companies need to hire software designers that have control where the software is going. It seems developers may have a lack of flexibiility in the design process. However this doesn't really address the 10x developer myth is there a developer that can write 500 lines of code a day instead of 50lines.
