Thanks I’d say at the school leaver level depending on your grades if you have around 112 UCAS points and a minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths and English you should be eligible for these schemes. If not, then you can still look at other apprenticeships with smaller organisations

@FehzanMehdi

If you’re applying for a school leaver or graduate opportunity you don’t need specific work experience but you could look at a short 2-3 day stint just to get some experience. If you’re looking for an entry level role then that could be in AP/AR.

So I would recommend Level 3, there’s a lot of assumed knowledge at Level 4 and I’ve seen people start at Level 4, found it tough, then gone back to Level 3. If your a-levels are decent then do a school leaver programme where chances are you will be trained in the ACA! This video is more aimed at those with no qualifications! I’d recommend checking out my school leaver video for more information.

@@FehzanMehdi yes I have been applying for the all the school leaver programmes i could find but there are also some industry firms like virgin media offering AAT at level 3 and I am not sure whether to apply to those as well or If i will be underselling myself and it will be a waste of time starting at level 3 when I already have a-levels.
@FehzanMehdi
@FehzanMehdi 3 жыл бұрын
@@kainatali6178 nope not a waste of time at all! I recommend to students that they apply to all types of school leaver programmes as firstly you want to keep your options open and secondly just because you apply doesn’t guarantee you will get the placement! Starting off at Level 3 isn’t detrimental, that’s where I started! Yes it may take you slightly longer but you may find it easier to adjust to rather than diving straight into the ACA / ACCA! If you haven’t studied accounting before doesn’t matter if you have a a-levels or not as this will still be new to you! Level 3 is equivalent to A-levels anyway My advice is apply everywhere you can, keep your options open and then decide on a scheme!

It depends on whether you meet the minimum entry requirements through another way i.e. A-levles. part I left school at 15 with no qualifications and I became an ACCA member when I was 24 I first did Pre Senior General Commercial course, Next year I did Senior General Commercial course, I then did a two year course, Ordinary National Certificate in Business Studies, This allowed you to become an ACCA student and provided you passed certain subjects at credit level, you got exemptions, So I got 4 exemptions. In my day there were 4 parts, 4 papers in each part. You had to pass all or you had to take them all again., If you failed one with a good fail you would be referred in that subject and allowed to take that paper, If you failed you had to take them all again. I failed twice in Part 3 before getting through and then passed Part 4 first time. So I qualified at 24 and I already had my 3 years experience completed. So even though you leave school as a so called failure, It is not too late, to get a good professional qualification.

currently i am doing 3 alevels including a level accounitng, would i be able to jump straight into an ACCA qualification? if so at what level could i start at? Secondly, would i need to do AAT level 4 and then move on to ACCA?
@FehzanMehdi
@FehzanMehdi 3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can straight after a levels so long as you meet the entry requirements which I believe is 2 a levels at pass grade id double check on their website. If you don’t achieve pass grades you can still do the ACCA but you’d have to do the ACCA foundation.

@@FehzanMehdi I couldnt find the link. But i mean that while learning to wards ACCA does that include me being in a role working to wards this qualification such as an apprentiship. They all seem to want part qualified accountants or someone that has done AAT. is there any good websites to find an apprentiship to help me? Ive tried the GOV website but its not very helpful. However, if i was to pass my a levels what level should i start with ACCA.

Why don’t you just apply for school leaver programmes with firms in the top 10 once applications open in September?
@K10jak
@K10jak Жыл бұрын
When you say 3 years of relevant experience, what exactly is that? I've looked on one of the websites but it isn't really defined. In one company it takes 5 years to go from assistant to associate and another 10 to become a senior. Then 3 on top of that... or is it 3 years of producing accounts, what if this comes without the higher job titles?
@FehzanMehdi
@FehzanMehdi Жыл бұрын
Relevant work experience can be across fields so it doesn’t have to be financial statements it can be audit, tax, commercial finance etc. There are requirements for each specific body but broadly speaking as long as the experience is linked to finance in some way it should count. You definitely shouldn’t be waiting 5-10 years to accumulate this experience

Wa alaykum as Salam you can do so with a degree from your native country - the reason why people do it with a U.K. degree is they come on a graduate visa.

Thanks in terms of you moving to the U.K. I would definitely consult a solicitor who will be able to better advice you on U.K. visa requirements than myself. One thing to be aware of is a lot of sponsors are reluctant to sponsor visas for certain roles due to costs and there being enough U.K. based talent.

Salaams brother I have Alevels in Maths Biology and Chemistry, what would be the best route for me to become a chartered accountant ? I don’t fully understand the route to becoming a chartered accountant, is there a specific degree for chartered accountant or is it through experience as a normal accountant Jzk

How about CFAB route to ACA(UK)?
@FehzanMehdi
@FehzanMehdi 3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can do CFAB route however the CFAB is the first six exams of the ACA. If you have no qualifications the AAT and ACCA Foundation are probably better as it covers more of the basics!

Fehzan Mehdi yes but still candidate with no prior qualification can write CFAB. Right and become eligible to write prof and adv level of ACA? But this route gonna be hard for him as s/he having no prior accounting qualification.
@FehzanMehdi
@FehzanMehdi 3 жыл бұрын
Yes so you can do CFAB and then do ACA however I did not speak about this option as the AAT and the ACCA Foundation are more appropriate qualifications to begin with. Technically you could complete CFAB and ACA and go from no qualifications to chartered accountant in 3 years. Is that likely? Not really. Would an employer give you a training contract with no qualifications? Again, highly unlikely. Hence why I speak about the two easier routes in this video. Don’t want to sell a dream which is not realistic!
