Were you working on 7-8 children’s book at once? I currently have 4 offers to work on children’s books and was wondering a good amount for a beginner in college.

Wow, congratulations!! That is amazing!!! :) Is the deadline the same for all the books? Of course it really depends on how many illustrations there are in one book and also how fast you are. I think you should really think about this first before you take on too much work and overwork yourself. This can happen easily. Maybe you can talt to the client and explain to him, that you have three more books to illustrate, maybe he can stretch the deadline. I would ask avery client and try to get at least 1 month for each book (depending on how fast you work)... Good luck with everything!!!!!!

@@AlexandraHelm Thank you so much! The deadline is pretty much the same for all the books. They are giving me 3-5 months to complete everything, including sketches and final illustrations. I'm more than likely am gonna have to choose between them and pick 2 or 3.

Hi Alexandra! Thank you for your time, lovely and informative video again :) It's really important to find a way to get in the industry. I already find my way to publish different projects in 1 year and still feel like a newborn baby. Do you think it is possible to find publishers from other countries? It would be lovely to give some more tips about finding publishers from different countries, maybe you can share more about your meetings, how they went with those publishers etc. Thanks again!

@@AlexandraHelm Dear Alexandra thank you for you reply. my case is a bit extream and my projects were not the best quality becouse of I was such a new illustrator. But lets say I was at the right place at the right time and I tried my chance to get in contact with more than 35 editors in childrensbooks publishing industrybefore I started my new carrie. I have send all the aditors with an motivational letter with an example of my illustrations. For Turkey I think this technique was rare :) so they accepted to work with me!

Do you have a video about agents? I'm fairly new in digital art (have been seriously studying for a year now) and have gotten clients, but mostly for commissioned work and 2 picture book projects from self-published authors. An agent recently offered me representation and I'm not sure if I should accept. I feel like I'm "cheating" and that it's too early for something like that? Because a lot of the yt videos I've watched kept saying that there should be around at least 2 years of experience freelancing before considering an agent, so now I feel like I'm rushing things.

Hey Gela and thank you for your question!! :) In my opinion it is never too early for an agent if you really want one. Keep in mind that you might have to give them 15-30 percent of your earning, though. I decided a while ago to try it without an agent and it is working pretty well. An agent is actually pretty good to get your foot in the door so I'm a little confused that some of the videos you have mentioned suggested to get an agent AFTER 2 years... If this agent reached otu to you then he sees a lot of potential in your work. If you really want to have an agent then go for it. ;)
