Congrats Dylan! You had a great instructor. It doesn't look like the commercial maneuvers required no are much different than when I got my license in 1967. To this day I can say, I have yet to do or need to do a chandelle and some of those other additional maneuvers for the commercial check ride. The very best thing I have done since is those little pink lines (mine's yellow) Dan recommends. They really grab your attention.

Congrats Dylan !! Comm pilots certificate = advanced private pilot certificate that is a certificate to learn. Not many go for the commercial without the instrument rating. I take it that’s what you did. I did so back in the day worked out great. Definitely some things to look at flying and earning $$ without the instrument just look at the limitations without the instrument and go get the time and the $$

Why is it that you say this? I'm a Second Generation Pilot & Both of my Daughters are Pilots & my Granddaughter has recently earned her Private Certificate. My Dad was a U.S. Army Air Corp Combat Pilot during WW II, & a G.A. Recreational Pilot for the rest of his life! I just retired from an Over 40 Year Long Career Flying Airliners last year & I wouldn't take anything for my Career! I can't believe that they actually paid me to fly DC-9's/MD-80's-90's & B-73's & 76's. I'm proud of my Girls & Eldezt Granddaughter. I'm in Complete & Total agreement with Dan, AQP, (like we did in The Airlines,) is The ONLY way to go! It shouldn't be legistlated, We can impose this on Ourselves & stop killing ourselves in Our G.A. Aircrafts. I'm still a Very Active G.A. Pilot & I don't want to stop flying my own Collection of Airplanes, I just want to do it safely for as long as I can. What is the reason that you are so against being a Pilot???
