Excellent video John! Continue with FT classes. Especially techniques with a spring rifle and the best shooting position. TKS!

Thank you Eduardo, once we are able to get out down to the shooting range, we are looking to do a full range of videos to improve your shooting, looking at tips and techniques. Kind Regards OPW

As a newbie just starting out and i think i'm swaying towards HFT shooting, this was very helpful as there aren't that many actual videos advising on which equipment is needed. Hoping you do an updated video with some current kit to help fill my/your shopping cart! Cheers

I am just goi8ng through my FAC for air rifles are there field target for FAC?

Nice video John and also good to hear someone saying that the scope is more important in FT than the rifle it is bolted to.
@OpticsWarehouse14 жыл бұрын
it is often overlooked, as we know most rifles will give good enough groups to compete, but scopes let the shooters down. Kind Regards OPW

Hi! Excellent video. Thank you for your work in creating these video lessons for everyone. I would like to ask you a question. What is the best type of scope for Field Target, or, what do you recommend: SFP or FFP?

Hello John Could do with more on that diagram They keep telling me at the range your scope is to high It’s difficult to explain to them why. I just no myself its better Could do with. Follow up ask Frank to help as your no drought to busy Take it easy As you no iv got the X50 Falcon and the Nikko ver 3 diamond back green turrets scope however I’m thinking of changing it for the silver X50
@OpticsWarehouse14 жыл бұрын
Hi Jack For 'Benchrest' Generally the scope is placed close to the barrel to try and minimise any effect on the impact through cant and other user induced errors, in field target when the ranges are unknown it can help to have the scope higher to give more chance of hitting the longer targets even with inaccuracies in range finding, this is due to the height giving the impression the trajectory has been flattened out, however it just moves the curve of the trajectory so the closer targets will have a greater number of 'clicks'/ 'holdover' between each yard. Kind Regards OPW

Thanks John. Yes iv now made the change yesterday by lowering the scope i find the scope is now part of the gun better zero gravity in others words in others words i don’t feel the weight as much like top heavy. Yes iv noticed short distance more clicks needed The Nikko i dont like with hold over at long distances 80 to 100 yards the thick bar at the bottom of the ridicule gets in the way in fact covers the target altogether As you on its brand new on once last week at the range what wood i get for it against the X50 Falcon in silver with the big wheel ? Thanks for your reply have a nice day buddy Ps you caught up with Frank yet if so i do hope he is well thanks Jack
