Hey thanks! Biggest aha moment was “there are three ways clients typically work with me.” I was also due to update my spikey beliefs- I came up with a good one at your prompting. As a music educator I understand the concern of the gentleman who you were responding to. I’ve ended up specializing as a music educator in teaching practice technique, which I can easily charge a premium for. I’ll bet my fellow music teachers out there can similarly specialize and teach a specific aspect of music performance or theory at an extremely high level, and charge accordingly for it. For now I’m choosing to keep my “generic” 1:1 lessons at the local market rate, just to limit my number of students so that it doesn’t interfere with my main business. I think of it as “doing my part” to support the local music community.

I also found your perspective of packages for one to one coaching very thought provoking. I have been coached before and like this version; this approach is something to consider when I am at that point to offer a high ticket package. I am not a coach yet.
