Thank you so much for this motivation!✨💕 My dream job for years has been to be an NP for yearssss but finally taking the leap of faith. From what I heard you were only a nurse for one year then applied to NP school? How did you have the confidence to do that? How did you know you were ready? I’ve heard that’s not recommended or most wait a few years.

Yes congrats on taking the leap of faith!…I think applying after 1-2 years of becoming an RN is fine, depending on if you are going for your masters or doctorates, you will be in school for at least 3 years which will total to 4-5 years experience by the time you graduate which is enough. It is all a learning experiences and there is a lot of resources and tools to help you become a competent NP, just have to be confident and apply yourself.

NPs are literally the most undertrained and incompetent providers in the US Healthcare system. It’s scary how these people get such medical authority with such little training. At least PAs have standardized education expectations and requirements and are governed by the medical board. NPs have neither. No standardized education requirements or baseline expectations and not regulated by the medical board.

I understand the angle you are coming from. NP is a good concept but the training needs to be more regularised and standardized

I see your point, but remember most NP work under a MD plus work with a collaborative team, 2. Most are required to do 1 year of bedside or outpatient nursing before they can get into a graduate school. 3. Typically have triple the number of shadowing hours PAs do if you consider there undergrad clinicals (before RN), bedside/outpatient nursing job, and shadowing requirements hours of NP school. Although, as a nurse and NP student, I agree that these field should have more regulations, but hey man it’s not up to us or we would have done it😂Plus this nurse seems so badass smart that your tripping… such a role model 😍

@@omgitsaishat nah I’m just worried about patients. The only people I will trust with my family are those who actually have legitimate educational requirements in the field of medicine. I like PAs. I don’t have a problems with midlevels, only NPs. NPs will never be part of the care team for my family. I can’t help but wonder how uneducated you may be regarding mid level practitioner education requirements and the medical complex in the US.

@@Jaycar1997 No you’re not just worried about patients, you’re not smarter than the system that has trusted the education provided to NPs, I believe they know their strengths and weaknesses, they also practice within their scope. NPs are not going anywhere and the practice/education will only be refined over the time and get better, they are very unproblematic and never call themselves doctors so I’m rest assured that patients will be good and finally I put it to you again that you’re very insecure and that’s why you’re very pained, you can phantom that these people are doing what physicians do (you’re probably one yourself) the world is changing, get used to it or CRY forever
