Hi Andrea, could you do a video with an Emergency Room doctor?

This helped so much, as a college student that wants to go into plastics and has no one to ask questions about this I'm extremely grateful for this video.

Omgg, I and my girlfriend were just talking about how does one become a plastic surgeon exactlyy - and now your video - and you're backkk!! We're really happy to see you and excited to watch this now! Thank you Andrea!!!

I would LOVE an updated version of this. Now, most programs are shifting toward an integrated route, and every year, matches into specialties like this become significantly more competitive (and now STEP 1 is pass/fail, leaving students with fewer opportunities to differentiate themselves, making research productivity all the more important).
@chrissiavictors66558 жыл бұрын
You should do a video on how to do research during college/med school! I'm really interested in doing research during med school, and I don't really know how to get into it. Thanks!

Very very helpful video...the plastic surgery topic came up while were discussing the hospitalization of my friend a several years ago in "pediatrics" (which interestingly include over 18 yrs of age to early 20s I think) in surgery; where really amazing surgeons helped her restore her legs from a traumatic injury (with severe nerve damage; and hence they had to do several surgeries on her legs using techniques such as skin transplantation from skin grafts, etc) so she could use her legs again and walk. This corroborates on it precisely and you and Dr. Charafeddine are just so amazing and nice. I'm certain more enlightenment has been shed on this field in a concise wonderful 15-min video. Part 2 would be as immensely interesting!! Thank you again so much Andrea and Dr. Charafeddine.

Amazing video! I am aspiring to be a facial transplant surgeon after reading and talking to Carmen Tarleton (one of the world's first full face transplant recipients). What the plastic surgery world is made of is so interesting and this video just gave me such a better view of what this field is made of.

Hi Andrea, can you talk about doing away rotations? Dr. Charafeddine mentioned it. I would like to know when can you do away rotations, when is the best to do rotations, what's it like doing aways, and how to manage it all when you want to do a specialty that basically requires aways.

So plastics covers Reconstruction and that is helping people who have had extensive injury that affects their face and skin and also burn victims. I'd like to help people normalize and feel great. I think plastics is a wonderful field with a negative stigma attached. The ENT aspect makes my head spin through. i wish there was a combined plastics/derm.
