Hi, Sally! I am about to finish my bachelor's degree in radiography in the Philippines and planning to have a postgraduate education in Sonography in Australia. Would I able to get a sonographer/radiographer license once I finish my master's degree in Sonography in Australia?
@SallyOverShare Жыл бұрын
No. You need to finish your master's degree AND *complete a certain number of clinical hours practicing your ultrasound skill*. As far as I'm aware of, most Aus universities provide the academic component of sonography, and it is the student's responsibility to *find somewhere to complete the clinical hours*. Please watch my other video on why it is hard to become a sonographer. All the best!

I got my diagnostic radiography degree from Usyd but I had to move back to Thailand. I plan to go back to Australia once I'm done with my contract here so I'm researching what I need to do. Since my degree is an Australian one, I think I don't have to sit the MRPBA exam, I'm still registered with AHPRA too (but it's a non-practising regis), so I probably don't have to worry much about that. The real question is; do I still need ASMIRT assessment if I want to go back to Aus and work as a radiographer there?

I don't think you need the ASMIRT assessment for job interview, but you will most likely need it to apply for a working visa. It is an expensive one-off expense.
