1. Download the TX Notary Public Application - Form 2301 here: www.sos.state....
2. Buy $10K Bond here: www.nationalno...
3. Email your Notary App to the NNA email provided in the instructions
4. NNA will submit your Notary App w/ Bond Info to TX Secretary of State
5. The TX Secretary of State will email your Notary Commission attached, print it.
6. Find a Notary Public to administer your Oath of Office.
7. You must keep your Notary Commission with you when performing notarial acts, good idea to get it laminated to protect it.

I have been looking into doing this. Thanks for your video. Definitely helps to hear the steps others have done. I want to do mobile notary as well. Haven’t thought much about the online or RON. Hi! No you get covered for your entire notary business. When you get on a call with an agent you will have to tell them to details of the work you do and they add it in your policy 😊

My question is I have seen many videos from notaries suggesting that the larger bond you purchase, the more beneficial for you because (if you are doing loan signing) the people that give you the business like to see you to carry a large bond. How can I modify it so I purchase the larger bond?

Hi! Your bond is not insurance. Just to let you know, the bond is for the public and your E&O insurance is to protect you and your business. You can add more coverage to your E&O insurance to get more signings. I have $1mil of coverage for about $36/month with Biberk.com check them out 😊

Hi! The loose leaf certificates are for documents that are brought to you without a notarial certificate on it already. If someone brings you a doc without that, you use a loose leaf cert. and give that to the signer along with their documents.

Hey y’all, Some of the registration part has been changed by the NAA. All of this info is still correct. There’s just extra emails and you don’t have to go to download the form from the Secretary of State anymore. The NAA has a walk-tru. Use that because they add in some information on their section for the bond. Then email it like the video says. You’ll then get an email a few days later once the NNA has completed the bond section and you have the insurance… that where I am so far. Waiting to get an email saying it was submitted to the Secretary of State and then the confirmation that it’s been completed. Don’t freak out, you are likely doing it right. 😂
