Yes, Can you make a video on the resume you use? And interview questions they ask as a beginner? I’m talking Google UX course so my projects will be from there and I have a background in Marketing ( digital and social ) and want to get into tech.

Hey Sacha, I just graduated last summer with a BA in Cognitive Science and I am thinking about applying for the HCI program with the intention of becoming a UX Researcher. But I'm worried that an online HCI program won't give me the research experience necessary to be competitive in the job market after graduating. Do you guys do a lot of research in the program or would I have to rely on getting internships or a professor giving me an opportunity to a be a research assistant?

I really think that building up your portfolio is the most important part of landing your first job. Don't get me wrong, a great UX degree goes a long way but it still doesn't prove to employers that you have the necessary skills. I really recommend searching for internships and freelance work while you are getting your degree:)

LOL, damn bro, you made me laugh when you said you contacted the grandma to reach out to their grandson for networking lolll. Thats that hunger!!! I am also trying to switch into UX Design from Motion Design. So far, I am trying to learn how to create landing pages in figma, then creating it in Webflow, then gonna try to create a case study and dive more in UX once I am confident in my UI Design skills. Then I plan on taking a UX/UI Bootcamp from Memorisely Do you think this is a good path? Thanks brotha

Hey man! Yeah for sure. Honestly just getting any exposure to UX is really the priority. Any boot camps are a really good place to start and maybe getting some freelance work will help too. Don’t be afraid to do small design projects before the full time work. But having the UI skills is recommended but not completely needed before diving into UX. It’s always a plus to have! Thanks for watching man

Can you please talk about your process of applying for grad school? Why you chose DePaul and maybe share your SOP process?
@sachac
@sachac Жыл бұрын
Of course. Also with grad school it really depends on the school you are applying too. The process for Cornell is much different than DePaul for example. At Cornell, I had 2 Essays, GED, and 2 interviews whereas DePaul was about half that.

@@sachac Thank you. I will be expecting that video. I have applied to UW, CMU, UMD, UCSC and others. I am thinking of DePaul because of its focus on Game design so it will be nice to know perspectives of current students.
