1) Yes you get your CPL after completing 200 hours of flying, be it single or multi engine. Multi engine is recommended, you just have to fly for 15 hours on multi engine+10 hours simulator to get multi engine endorsement. 2) After CPL you have to do AFI rating. It includes 20 hours of flying. Once you have AFI rating you can become a AFI

Bhai i am also a pilot. You are not late. Just believe me you will complete your training in 2 year including type rating. So you are not late. My batchmates were at the age of 33-34 and still they managed to become a pilot. Most of my batch mates were between 20-28 years. So ya you are at a perfect age
