I have not been playing verey long and been teching even shorter then playing. I have found your channel verey helpful when I get stumped on a project. I have been playing as of a yr this past August. I was curious to try my hand at being a tech. My career is in appliance repair. I fig I would try my hand at airsoft theching. So with less then a yr experience playing and even less teching on aegs I build my first cqb rifle!! I was amazed at how well I did! Yeah it took me some time and tons of questions to my local tech/friend, but I got it done and I'm proud of what I built! I posted on my Facebook and Instagram the work I do. As of right now I'm working on a sniper rifle and and putting together another m4! It will be my 5th my I have worked on.

My journey on becoming a novice airsoft tech as i am now began with an old friend of mine who worked on all my guns and basically showed me how everything worked and fixed them up for me. He moved away amd sadly i havent kept in contact with me but his words always stay with me; "I dont want money for helping you out. All i ask is when you see someone struggling with a broken gun, you use this knowledge amd step in to help them" I strive to be the guy that can help someone on their gear and i explain what im doing to help them understand their gear a little better. Ive actually only recently been contracted by a few friends for some basic tune ups and part installs on their guns. But ill always be humble and love doing tech work for the love of this hobby of ours

This video was help full and I’m lucky that I was given for free an old aeg like this thing is prehistoric but it seems like a basic version 2 m4 it had a connector that no tech I showed knew what it was so I cut off a tamyia connector from a lpaeg and just electrical taped it on it worked for a few mags then stopped but now I’m going to make it a project to get it running again

You just described my first time opening a gearbox to tee. I opened up my main gun for the first and it exploded, lol. Shims and parts all over the room. I absolutely panicked because it was fully built gun from my local tech at the time and it never shot the same when i put it back together weeks later

I have been learning so much from you and TheRealDealAirsoft for teching and I want to thank you guys soo much, RDA is a smaller youtuber but he is so great, I have really always had a mechanically inclined mind, not really school smart but know how to take stuff apart understand how it works, and put it back together. I have always been able to do that, and that's why I love the process of building my m4, I have a lancer gen2, and now it's almost to the point so it's only lamcer gen2 lower/upper receiver, pistol grip, gearbox, buffertube, and stock, everything else I've replaced, well except inside gearbox stuff, only thing I've changes in there is gate aster, shims, and bearings.

I bought my first airsoft gun about a month ago. Never played or owned one before. Bought a specific one to modify because I can't leave anything stock. A krytac alpha CRB. Nothing inside is stock anymore. I tore it apart and replaced everything. Had to Mill out the gearbox for the gate titan on my cnc I have. They are finicky I had to open it up a few times because of various issues. KZbin videos helps alot.

losing screws (I always stick a small magnet to the screw driver I'm using when I work with small screws)and you should also understand and know how much force you need to screw something in, so that you also don't strip threads like from a gearbox, mag release or buffer tube screw for example. Remember where every screw, spring, pin or gear goes where. oh and when your releasing small spring put a finger tip on it at least so it doesn't shoot out into space.

I am currently building my first airsoft gun for my brother and you do need to take your time and think of every little part. These parts in your airsorf guns can be damaged very easley. I am a qualified automotive mechanic and have 8 years experience in Automotive and won't lie when I say these guns even though symple are challenging. Having a back up gun is a very good idea as it takes longer then you might think to get it working just right.

I bought my first AEG last year May, it was an AUG and I took it apart on the third day I got it lol Fortunately, AUG is a very tech-friendly platform to work with, even for me who never played airsoft before and have no idea what the hell gearbox is, I re-assembled it in the middle of the night that day (sure with some aid from youtube), it works just as it should but I got some little circle disks and I don't know what the heck were they coming from (well I figured it out that they are shims for gears after a week) Then I just got addicted to taking guns apart and assembling them together, one and a half years now I think I've already got into different types of gearbox a hundred times, but only got onto the field three times to play them xdd

I bought a lightly used double eagle tri-shot shell loading airsoft shotgun. I've been shooting for over 20 years and do basic maintence. Cleaning and oiling the portent parts. Never Owned a shotgun. On the mussle end of the pump handle there is a metal thing that turns but doesn't seem to do anything functional. It's not a pump lock it's not hop up control its just there. Possible issue - defective product - PME ( premature engagement ) - too much friction ( tight piston, tight shimming ) Damn short stroked 4 teeth are a lot. U will have higher chance of getting into tappet timing issue with that.. people recommended max 3 teeth unless u know what ur doing.. Does u shim it right? Does the gears turn with little to no friction? If yes it will sound crisp no screechy sound cuz shs pinion & shs bevel mesh nicely.. Does ur piston cycle nicely when the gearbox is screwed together? Sometime piston is a bit bigger so its going to be tight when gearbox assembled.. try file / sand / polish ur piston rail or gearbox rail or just try other brand.. What type of piston assembly do u use? It’s recommended to use pom piston head on high speed build..for the piston body itself, never use metal/aluminium piston.. use something polymer like shs blue & make sure its full metal teeth.. Make sure to swiss cheese the piston body & dont use bearing on the piston, 1 on the spring guide is enough. What u want is the lightest piston assembly for high speed builds

@@bittcchesssm9887 Thanks for taking the time to reply in my opinion the shimming sounds great and snappy and I’m not getting any pme since I ss 4 teeth with an m120 and everything seems to be moving freely in the gearbox. @@ad4m_hype if everything done right, it’s probably faulty product.. also if the spring is shs u have higher chance of mislabelled spring compare to other brand like guarder & prometheus.. Mosfet - wiring - motor can be bad too.. if u got a multimeter, try checking the voltage & amp on the motor wire & dont forget check ur battery too.. Check ur wiring, if it got warm or hot when rapid firing semi, then u need to rewire it to atleast 16awg.. recommended 16awg ptfe silver plated wire
