Yes true you can recognize that you are the presence within yourself and also even the observer who is observing the presence. You are consciousness itself. Wake up to the realization and embody the Awareness that you already are. We are all Enlightened but we need to be far more still in mind and present in being to notice and become aware of our true nature. I never worry about enlightenment. I never think about it. I have no interested in "becoming enlightened." I think people should simply focus on true practice, and I don't mean "oh, I have to meditate 3 hours each day and read Eckhart Tolle books!!" I mean love other people, do what you can to help them, enjoy the art and beauty of life, learn your lessons as you go, live fully in the moment. Keep it simple. I am not concerned with "I have to be enlightened." I have enjoyed listening to Gangaji for many years. She is a true teacher.

@prior2yourstory7 жыл бұрын
Give up all control. You never had it, anyway. You are not controlling the beating of your heart, nor are you controlling what your next thought will be. Be willing to face all your fears. Everyone's apparent journey is unique, and you can't do it wrong. We all end up at the same place, because we never left it in the first place. But keep going. I remember feeling crazy. It is normal.
@urtext_org7 жыл бұрын
It is hard to remember this in that time it occurs :) I have seen to many people staying crazy forever, that is maybe my biggest fear…Thx for advice!
@prior2yourstory7 жыл бұрын
I assure you, you'll be fine. It's normal to feel fear, and to feel that you are loosing your mind. These feelings arise to keep you in the dream. The way to get over them is to go through them. Self-Realization is also known as Sahaja, the Natural State, or the Stateless State. You really are It already. Be what you cannot not be. You can't do it wrong.

Less than a minute in, I thought how truthful, doesn't this make all these spiritual teachers charlatans? The excuse teachers make is that "concessions" or similar are needed instead of guiding people to direct intimate experience of presence. In fairness, the Buddha also referred to leaving all tools behind on crossing the river implying that techniques and tools can help.. You can't get enlightenment from mind and concepts which keeps people attached to their spiritual teachers and going to never ending talks that produce limited results.

@TerryLightfoot6 жыл бұрын
Being enlightened doesn't eliminate the ego. You need ego to live in this illusory world. However you are no longer identified with the ego. Once enlightened you realize your "personality" is not your true self, that it's just a small aspect. Your true self is All that is, which is all creation. That ego is a simple construct for operating here in this physical world. So you still need to eat, wear clothes, have preferences, "play the game" of being human, even after enlightenment.
@drago94274 жыл бұрын
Even if you are 'enlightened' You are still a human being. Maybe you think if someone is enlightened she/he should shave his head, wear robes and not wearing any make up?! Or what idea you got about enlightenment? Cause it can NOT be expressed in words or in physical appearance. These things are not the whole truth. Your comment is irrelevant to something that is greater than physical appearance or your own words. 🙏

There is more to us than what we can tell here and now.

Mark Osborn everything you wrote are just concepts in your mind. What is the awareness that is aware of all these concepts? I don’t mean another concept I mean the actual awareness you are seeing out of right now. It’s the one thing that is not a concept. It’s what sees all concepts and you are it right now. This is what this path is about. What is the nature of that which sees? That’s not a question you can answer. It’s an investigation
