The folding method by far seems the cleanest but do you think that those folds could potentially cause enough heat to damage the strips in the long run??
@superbrightleds Жыл бұрын
Great question. It depends on the strip. Most single-row strips will be fine, like the one used in this video. However, for high-density strips or double/trip/quad-row strips, we would not recommend this method.

Ive always used the folded 90° option on indoor strips, I've never had one fail yet. This doenst work on the thicker oitdoor siliconed strips obviously...
@LegendaryHorse3075 Жыл бұрын
Remove a small part of the silicone for the fold(s) then re-seal with a glue gun.

From what I've researched, most installations (esp. indoor) the fold method is sufficient. The downside is that it can create a "LED hotspot" because you have multiple lights closer together than the original spacing. Not a big deal, especially if your LED strips are not visible.

Can i connect this with electric switch board or not
@siamaklighvani39518 ай бұрын
I went to light international exhibitions and find strip led light which works with 220 ac no DC adaptor improved any other electrical unit required , it helps me to work more accurately, with the help of cable tie, I attached to the light Aluminum pipe , noticed the pipe is vibrating a little bit when I move my finger along with pipe.

Can you use the soderless connectors on rgbic led strips? As i thouight they cannot be cut
@jamesz913919 күн бұрын
From what I've seen, you should be able to cut RGBICs at the copper strips. You just have to be super careful about aligning all your pins correctly with the solderless connectors. That said; I haven't personally tried that with mine....
@jamesz913919 күн бұрын
OH, and you have to have a 4-pin connector--not 2 or 3...

Question. Will the L connector work with Phillips hue strip lights ?
@superbrightleds Жыл бұрын
Short answer: probably. Our L connectors are designed with our strip lights in mind, but as long as you match up both the size of the strip along with the type (e.g., Single Color, RGB, RGBW, Tunable White, etc), you should be good.

I tried the folding and now my led strip doesnt work anymore from that part😂 will have to use the cut method instead

Noooo! Sorry to hear. Yes, when in doubt, use the solderless connectors. They are very inexpensive, easy to install, and look better than any of the bending/folding methods.

So a strip led won't break if you double it? I am afraid that it might break that why I don't do it. Never knew it was that flexible. Thx

How did it go?
@rtr9746 Жыл бұрын
It went great. I could easily do 90 degrees corners to each direction. I was surprised they didn't break. I just tried to double them where no chips or LEDs are present. I tried first without removing the tape, then when I got the trick it was easy. So yes no problems for me. My LEDs were from AliExpress from a company called RGB. Very good quality.

What about the led COB strip? i need a 45 degree fold turn as well for a seemless look
@superbrightleds Жыл бұрын
You can definitely do the fold on COB strips. Just take it easy when folding it. Of course, we'd still recommend a solderless connector because they're only a couple bucks and look even more professional.
