we moved internationally & into a tiny apartment so I downsized almost all the games into craft keepers & mesh zippered bags. More important to keep the games than have the boxes. Smallest space for shipping - although the craft keepers did add a bit of weight, but super handy for putting a bunch of small games together.

wow that sound so cool! how do you keep the cards from bending?
@twbird183 ай бұрын
@@TerreDiceGames If a game had cards, I either used a small plastic card case if the cards were flimsy or zip top card bags for solid decks. Just put it in the mesh bag. The mesh bags are stacked side by side so no bending. The truly large deck building games are all consolidated into 1 box with expansions or in the case of Ascension, I was able to put it into 1 craft keeper which keeps all the sets sorted and easy to grab. Netrunner, since I don't own all the expansions, fit into an old magicTCG fat pack box with a rubber band around it holding the pieces in a small accessory bag. I just looked for something that would work. 52sqm is small.

I often try and combine expansions into one box, as I too live in a small Boston apartment. My best storage setup is for Disney Villainous, as I have every character together in a single projector case.

ohhhh nice! we have to use the box covers so often for filming otherwise I would definitely do this!

I’m always looking for solutions like this. I unboxed a bunch of my games and put them in zipper pouches. Takes up so much less room. Also those photo boxes for really small games. Thanks for the video!!

You guys, thank you so much for this! I need some good ideas for saving space, and you just helped me lol. I definitely want to see a part 2. 😃

I would love to do a part 2 where we dive deeper into more homemade ones! this comment section has given me quite a few ideas!

literally using those box bands all the time! they are game changers especially for traveling. I was NOT ready for that box violence though haha

right! we just started using box bands and I am so surprised with the amount of people that don't know about them! hahah sorry for scaring you!

If I'm combining expansions to the base game I use the expansion's box to construct custom insert and so you get to keep the box in spirit.
@TerreDiceGames3 ай бұрын
nice!!! how do you design the custom insert??

I'm jealous about the folded space ones. I have the ones that are grey for Robinson Crusoe and Arnak. They look great.
@TerreDiceGames3 ай бұрын
ohhh we have the arnak one but I would love to have the Robinson Crusoe one! As I love that one but set up is always a bear
@AxelPaul3073 ай бұрын
@@TerreDiceGames it helped me get Crusoe to the table so much more often. It is worth it!

I keep my board games boxes in my closet and a few extra game boxes in the living room coffee table. The games that get played the most, tend to stay in the living room, under the coffee table. Well the extra games are in the closet. Because I have space for them in there. I don’t have a big game collection. Because I’m only able to spend so much money on. I’m on a budget. But so far I have a pretty good collection.
@TerreDiceGames3 ай бұрын
nice! yeah games that get seen tend to get played more often! maybe routine out the games that are under the coffee table?

@@TerreDiceGames yes, that’s also a good idea to do.

I find folded spaces and the box bands hard to find in Europe which is very annoying. I'm definitely planning on buying a bunch of these at SPIEL soon. Talking about SPIEL, will you guys be there?

They're a European company. Do they not ship to where you are?

So. I need to go see your other video (search and find it) but as a HUGE Disney guy and one who used to play this game on mobile, is the physical (I know discontinued) game GOOD? Would you say I should go find it and add it to my collection?

I actually take great pleasure in destroying expansion boxes. I can't imagine not combining boxes/expansions when possible.

right! once you start it becomes super satisfying to be able to free up space!

dollar tree ... the store has lots of tiny boxes that store things for very cheap. (thin 10 small boxes for 1.25 plus tax). while I like the boxes you use, the dollar tree boxes are smaller, and have less wasted internal space that game trays have... folded space inserts can help, but most often they don't always being a game to the table faster...

good to know! manhattan doesn't have dollar tree.. :( but I'll have to check when I am out of the city!
