I grew up in a church that discouraged us from reading the Bible alone because we wouldn't understand it. Because of that I love purchasing different Bibles. I now attend where we are encouraged to read it daily, and I have a great appreciation for that freedom.

I love this idea. As an artist I love to draw and write in my bible and it helps me remember scripture and also want to read more if it’s colorful. I wish they combined all 4 gospels into 1 book. Neat idea

Sherry, you are so dear to my heart! You have read my mind about Bible journaling! After months of looking at countless bible journaling you tube videos I have seen some very beautiful art work! But in the end, I decided to be creative in a separate book using watercolor, rubber stamping, hand lettering, etc., rather than in my Bible. I was in love with idea of Bible journaling but like you, I felt it just wasn't right for me. I think these workbooks are a perfect alternative! I love the yellow you added around the flowers! I have an inspire Bible and I love it because it gives you permission to color in it! Plus not being an artist, it’s great that pictures and lettering are already drawn for you. I didn’t know they had the smaller books. Good to know! Edited: since I commented before end of video, I just bought the Exodus book from your shop. I’m currently studying Exodus with Kay Arthur materials so this will be a great way to support that and I’m excited. I need to go buy good colored pencils now!

Hi Sherry, I too grew up in a very reverent home when it came to the Bible. We did not put anything on a closed Bible, and we treated the pages of our Bibles very carefully. So, I have always been so careful to never draw or paint over the actual scripture. So I love the idea of the Inspire books! And what a great idea for gift giving at Christmas!! ❤

Yes, I grew up respecting the Bible and was not to write in it or put anything on it! and take extra good care of it so it is hard to do any of the Bible journaling or anything but read it! I am praying about it and making sure I feel it’s the right thing to do before I do it! I do love to see all of it and think a lot of it is so pretty and probably helps a person with making it feel more personal and help with reading and learning more of the Bible and helps get excited about highlighting things that teach us and help grow our relationship with God along with prayer and study of the Bible:) I love the idea of the inspire book for Bible journaling:) I’ve never seen them before. You are so helpful with sharing the things you have found for Bible scripture writing, Bible journaling ect. Thank you!

I took it along to a Bible study recently and after our discussion read from it and showed the colouring of the psalm we'd explored together. The quality of the paper and line drawings is quite exceptional in my opinion, especially how, as you emphasised, shading one side doesn't seep through spoiling the other. 🖍🏵❤

This is a wonderful idea and I would love to do this with my favorite book of the Bible Ephesians. I didn’t notice an Inspire book for Ephesians. I just “stumbled” on your vlog about writing scripture verses in a notebook and am intrigued by the idea. I’ve been a Christian for more than 40 years and I’ve never heard of this method. I think it’s great and look forward to trying it. I’m going to the $ store to buy a notebook and a pack of paper. Thank you for providing this method of going into God’s Word more deeply. I have learned to color entire swaths of intricate works with the same color....like a background. It's not only that these small areas of art lines are difficult to see but it's so time-consuming to color them. Just grouping many of these areas together and coloring them with one color is more enjoyable to me!

Yes! I only highlight in my Bible I never sit anything on it and never sit it on the floor ! Are these books of the King James Version that’s the only Bible I read or study! Sherry I am confused. Are scripture writing and Bible journalling just two names for the same thing? I am 64 and still struggle to understand the bible but I do have a horror of marking it. I eventually learned to carefully annotate books while at university but any mark on my Holy Bible seemed a step too far. I have bought another Bible with the intention of doing just that but it always feels like I'm defacing the word of God. These books seem perfect for my needs. As a stroke patient I can imagine the handling and readability would be easier for me too. I am a practising Catholic and attend Chapel for Mass and sacraments but I am really a kindergarten child when it comes to studying the Bible I would really value your advice. @@Vera-y8m Hi Vera! Scripture Writing is the practice of copying down Scripture verses or passages on cards, paper, or within notebooks. Most Scripture Writers will doodle, draw, paint, or use other creative products to decorate their work. Others simply choose to write out the Scripture. Bible Journaling is coloring, drawing, painting, or creatively enhancing the pages within a Bible. Some people struggle to do that because they don’t feel comfortable marking in the Bible. But these books offer the opportunity to color and be creative within actual books of the Bible, even though it’s not a traditional Bible.

Hi Maria! Which Inspire Bible did you purchase in large print? I have the original Inspire, the Inspire Praise, the Inspire Prayer (In both regular and giant print), and the Inspire Faith. Other than the giant print, I don't have an Inspire Large Print. So glad to know you enjoy it!

I have the the one called Inspire Large Print Edition and the Bible cover itself is a hard cover in that light pretty teal or green (not sure what the name of the color is) and the box cover it came in has the cover of your inspire bible with the bird and butterfly. I love it because the drawing are bigger.

Is spiral binding an option?

It's not, Melanie, but you could always take it to one of the office supply stores. They will put a spiral binding on it for you. I didn't find the need for one, however, since these books are easily opened and most of the art and note taking sections fall on the outside of the pages.
