Products in this video: Sports Cub S: bit.ly/2qVmCcB Timber: bit.ly/2q6HLzC Beginner Budget Transmitter: bit.ly/2MCPltA How do you bind a transmitter to an RC plane, spektrum edition? We get asked this question all the time. We also get asked: What is BNF (bind and fly) vs RTF (ready to fly)? In this video, we teach beginner rc airplane pilots how to bind with a spectrum transmitter (Tx) to an airplane with a built in spectrum receiver (Rx). This is part of our beginner airplane series playlist. We really hope this helps! If you have video ideas please leave them in the comments! Disclosure: This description box contains affiliate links.

I bought a carbon cub s+ from someone. It will not bind with the dx6e transmitter I bought brand new. There is also no port to put a bind plug in, just 2 bare wires in the battery compartment with a factory “bind” sticker attached. What do I do? I tried to bind it outside as well. It just shows “bind failed” on the transmitter every time I try to bind it the two ways I’ve seen online, without using a bind plug... not that I could anyway because there is no plug on those bare wires to plug a bind plug into. How can I bind it to its new transmitter?

Your camera crew (wife) does an excellent job of showing me what I want to see. My last "flight" was with line flight, about 100 years ago. Yeah, I'm old, but because of you I just ordered a new RC plane to learn to fly. I never really learned to "fly" just crash. With all the new technology and being retired with time to enjoy life, I'm looking forward to actually accomplishing what I started to do 60 years ago. RCSaylors, quick question for your guys. i plan to install AR636 6-Channel AS3X in my FMS Kingfisher(PNP) and bind it to my spektrum 8ch tx. it should be able to use SAFE since it is AS3X ? i have not flown it yet coz im still building confidence flying sport cub s and the UMX Cirrus SR22T that you guys suggested to buy black friday.
@DeadlyDiddly4 жыл бұрын
Very handy to know Nate, and I'm the same--takeoff and landing flaps should be DOWN on the switch, not UP, but binding that way does it automatically set up SAFE, AS3X and OFF (or "ACRO" for want of a better term) to a 3-position switch, and if so, which one? 🤔

Nate, this is my third fixed wing aircraft. I have an old Spectrum Dx6i DSMX transmitter. Should this be my next radio or, do you think. a DSX8e be a better choice?
@TheRcSaylors4 жыл бұрын
Hey Burke! Great question 👍 Love that you are coming from Spektrum, considering upgrading to Spektrum so you'll be pretty familiar with the menus etc.. So most people would probably say go with the 8. It seems like the obvious choice. However, 9 times out of 10 I find myself using my 6 over the 8 simply for the batteries alone. Radio batteries are the worst. They take forever to charge and generally you are lucky to get a days worth of flying out of them. To me this is a big deal. Hope this helps! 👍⚓😎

Do you have a transmitter already?
