I agree BlondMe is fantastic. I am amateur not a hairdresser and I have shoulder length very dark brown hair and I am now a 10 blonde for 1 year. (my hair is colour of inside of peeled banana/pale blonde) I use Schwarzkopf as follows: Hair Bleaching- 20 vol Blondme 1: 1 ratio with BlondeMe 9 powder 8 scoops/Tablespoon Powder 8 scoops Liquid (I do not weigh it as it's equal 1:1 proportions. 35 minutes= perfect in winter temperature with shower cap on. Check at various intervals. Toner - Igora Royal 6% (20 vol) Developer (Red bottle oil based) Igora Royal color tube 9.0 1:1 ratio 35 minutes with shower cap on. The toner also gives me that extra 1 to 2 levels lift. Result: pale buttery blonde. Very happy using these products no issues. Preparation is key. Section section section! Use duckbill clips and use small sections of hair. If your arms get tired easily then have a friend help to do the application of the bleach as it needs to get on fast on both sides to be even.
@cheekymonkeygirl3378Ай бұрын
I'd this means yoi bleach each section and wash each section off? 😢 I find your comment helpful. Why do I need a toner if I'm using Schwarkpof developer and powder?
@Antoinette14273Ай бұрын
@cheekymonkeygirl3378 I section hair first. I apply Bleach/Dev to all sections and subsection (you subdivide that section with a rattail comb). Then leave desired time with shower cap on. Then I wash it out thoroughly. After it has dried completely, or the next day I then apply toner. I do not section for toner. I apply toner all over wearing gloves obviously. If I don't apply toner my hair is very pale, like I said it is colour of inside of a banana peel. The toner fills in the hair and makes it buttery light gold toned. Toner gives it dimension.

Thank you very much for your description! But I wonder why you use a ratio 1:1 though according to the manufacturer the 9+ powder should only be used from 1:1,5 to 1:2,5 ...

Today I tried BlondMe 9+ bleach powder, with 20 volume and the ash additive on my daughter's hair. She has natural virgin hair at the moment (we've done a split dye in the past and kept it good for a year...yes I was doing her roots every 4 weeks). She wanted some lighter sections in her hair so she could do the Calico hair (mostly her natural brown with some ash blonde and small sections of apricot...a light orange). Mixed up the bleach mix to your formula (only did half a batch) and used foils and she now has her very light ash blonde sections she wanted and her hair doesn't even feel like it's damaged at all. Worth the extra money to get such amazing results with just one application. Love this video and I love the reaction video's too.

BlondMe is all my stylist uses - gives the best results and keeps the hair soft. She always gets me some from the beauty supply warehouse she goes to so I can keep a little bit at home when I want to redo my teenager’s ends (he has his ends bleached to do different temporary colors) when we can’t make it in to the salon with him as she is a decent drive away and he’s always been real finicky with how his hair is touched (very sensitive scalp). She showed me how to do extremely fine layers with sectioning it out and backcombing just a tiny bit to have it blend so it doesn’t give a harsh line … and it’s always turned out so well. The ends stay soft and shiny. Also smells really nice, too. I’ve always loved the smell of bleach powder mixed with developer, but the BlondMe stuff is kind of a fruity scent that isn’t overwhelming. Their toners are real lovely, too.

The nice thing about using low vol is that i don't get any banding even if i have long roots and slapp bleach on all of it at the same time. I just let the hair bake for a longer time and I end up with a nice, even, pale yellow result ready for my green fashion color. Works every time.

For me it's less stressful this way and I don't have too much bleach on my scalp at once (I once had a short phase where I had an allergic reaction, it might have been because of the no-name brand at the time)! Then I put a toner on and finally my pastel pink (directions with conditioner)...

My hair is mostly silver and white. I do have some of my natural light brown-mousy brown color in it (mostly in back and back sides). Because I have a long pixie, I can see when my hair grows out the patches of natural hair still there (I’m about 90% silver-white). So I will use a 20 volume or 10 volume on my hair to even out the patches then I tone it. I would say my hair is a level 10 on those natural patches because they come out yellow, not orange. Your videos are very informative and I have learned a lot doing my own hair from you and your recommendations. 🥰❤

Update : tryed blond me out on my hair...Best bleach ever. My friend is a hairdresser she was stunning about everything. The consisten, the smell, how easy it is to apply and how much less product she needed for my hair... How much time she safed... I have a lot of hair and we alway do streaks on full had. She could not belive how fast it lightened, how even and bright the result was. And the best was it did nearly no demage to my hair. And it turned out realy light blond. We even didn't need to tone it afterwards. She will trough all her old bleaches away and just use blond me from now on. I have brown hair and we used the 9+ lighter and the 6% developer.

What would you get a better lift from? …. A ratio of 1 - 1.5 bleach powder to developer or 1 - 2.5? Hope that made sense. So if I put more developer do I get a better/more powerful lift?

I enjoyed the video. I'm not sure why I'm so fascinated--when I used color I had it done in a salon. I went natural years ago so I am mostly white in front, mixed as you go back, and nearly all dark brown at the back. Growing up, my hair was auburn. Now it's more ashy. Not sure why that happened, but I'm not going to color it (my hair grows very fast--I'd be fussing with color every 3-4 weeks, max.

Thank you so much! Really appreciate how you explain the process. How do you feel about only lightening a level or two with a bleach bath?
