I feel like transparent-back stones might be something to try with this - that way you can see the level of your drink from the outside for a little more visual interest.

You can if you want to but in my opinion it isn’t necessary! It helps the stones to adhere better but GemTac is pretty darn strong and I haven’t lost any stones on the projects I’ve chosen not to sand.
