when i make the octos, ill start with the head, give it eye lids and finish off any detail. push a small gather on the bottom flatten, and end up using that to attach legs. after all straight legs are on ill go back and give each leg a lil life. i also like to flatten any spots where theres space between the tentacles to sort of give it a web design. definetly gonna try this technique for smaller octo's. seems quicker more efficient and easier all in all. awesome vid as always, dusty💜

Glass blowing looks so calming, is it difficult on the joints? My shoulders are pretty bad at holding stuff at head level but I want to try it one day.
@mobiusprolix8454 Жыл бұрын
It can be hard on shoulders, neck, and back. There are ways to avoid using your body so much, 1 being a set of bench rollers, 2 the tool he has beside him in the beginning of the video, 3 a lathe. Those are 3 ways I know of to reduce stress on body joints and muscles. Is it calming? Most times I would say yes. But if you are pushing your boundaries, you are likely to have "a day." ^_^ But once you get past that, you are back in the flow, relaxed, and ready to use the knowledge you learned to make this dream a realization.
@eve_squared Жыл бұрын
it seems like I could definitely try it, not much though. I used to be a welder/machinist so I think I'd be solid at least with keeping the material at the right temperatures and glass in the right places.@@mobiusprolix8454

I got a nice one on the second attempt. I didn’t realize I needed a more pointed flame. The other legs would get in the fire and collapse. I’ve only been doing it for about a week.
