Glass blowing is one of the only hobbies I've had that you almost literally never stop learning. Just when you think you've seen just about everything someone makes up something new. I love it

Yep. Only if you think you know everything you will never learn anything new The more I learn The more I learn I don't know half of it

Man that’s awesome your dad took a chance on ya, I’m 33. My relationship with my real dad has been nonexistent. We know each other but to much time has been lost, my step dad we don’t have much of a relationship either. I get really jealous of guys like jbohemoth who works with his dad. Wished I had that, my kids will and that’s the bright side of the story. Love this video and the last one!

Hey Dustin wanted to thank you for everything you do for the glass community I’ve been watching since 2014 and your videos have always inspired me. I’ve learned so much from you and guests and can’t express my gratitude enough. I love hearing you talk about history of glass and how far it’s come and/or who started what tech as well as the Italian style vs American style and the combo of the two. You’re doing great things and it’s been awesome to grow with you. Pyros a beast and has me itching to work on my two handed vessel shaping. Hopefully soon I’ll sign up for a class of yours. But keep up the great work and I can’t wait for the next video! 🤘

Just started lampworking and am loving your videos, hope to be able to make pieces at this size scale someday. Right now just starting off with a small Bethlehem torch and getting used to working with both soft glass and boro. I love how many guests you have come through to demo their techs and styles. Keeps the creativity flowing! Thanks, keep up the good work!

Love the pice it’s stunning, I have been getting a small setup together it’s very similar to your outside mini glassblowing setup I love glassblowing and your videos have been an amazing help. I had a question about the Bunsen, if just air and propane are good enough to work with it why doesn’t everything run off just air and propane?

When I started back in Salem Oregon back in 2000 something half the glassblowers were cool and the other half were secretive and wouldn't tell me a thing or tell me disinformation so I learned real quick how to reverse engineer everything I saw and now I teach anyone anything I know because you should treat others how you want to be treated, plus not everyone has the finesse necessary to do it or even want to do any of my style of stuff because their own style is awesome by itself and anyone can do any of this if they really put their mind to it ripglassmith 2024
