How to board a plane with an aisle chair

That worked out well but what happens if all you had was a full size 300+ pound powerchair with legs that are of no help at all? The arm rests alone on the plane would be impossible without 2 very large men to lift my 240 pounds up and over. And then what do they do with the chair? It just seems like it would be a lot easier to simply drive.

I did but it's not required in the US.

What if it's a smaller airplane with steps? I would love to travel but I can't find a way to get up the stairs. 😢

Every country has different requirements. In the US, they can bring a long, winding ramp. In other countries I have used a food catering lift as well.

It's probably a liability thing and they find it to be safer.
