Moisture/water will kill those electrical connections in no time. Solder connections and shrink tube

I guess I’ll fix it if it breaks. Until then I’m pretty happy with things. I don’t do much boat work or soldering so I was hesitant to try. My boat stays pretty dry which is nice. Hopefully that helps my repair last longer.

How do you get them out?? Twist and turn or is there a switch??

There’s a little plastic clip that you have to pop off and then it twists off like a quarter turn on. I think I show that during the install of the new one. Best of luck.
