I'm so jealous of that ready-to-go van with the hydraulics. Like soft butter on a warm roll.

Took a lot of back breaking load in and outs to make it happen. But I am very thankful.

Thanks for sharing. Learned a few things! ❤ That van ramp is awesome the way your cart glides off. You’ve got some seriously powerful Aputure lights for that tiny room 😅

That is my favorite things about making these videos, helping others learn something new. It is a game changer having a lift. We brought the lights!

How do you get all the particles off of a furniture blanket when you first get it, so you don't get a layer of dust and fabric particles everywhere when you use it?

Never really had an issue, but washing them once should help.

Thanks for the video, Piotr. Always find your videos to be very helpful. Book lights are nice, but a lot of work. My other concern is that - with some examples I have seen on youtube - the light from a booklight can come in at a pretty low angle, instead of 45-degrees above the talent. But you make it look good.

Great vid mate! It’s interesting to see how you solve everything in a tight place like this. Easy to run out of space trying to correct and control 👊🏻 Have you tried using polariser to bring the skylight down, reduce reflection and more saturated sky? I find it works great on 35mm and upwards.
@PDMokry3 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! I do sometimes bring a polarizer. But the FX6 EVND hate filters in front of it. So ND's would be needed too.

Yes, SLog3

IMO, the camera is too high. You're shooting down on the subject.

Hey there. In the future, if the bounce on the right of the book light setup had been a silver bounce, vs white, the 600d performs much better.

Great point! But would it be as soft?

Great work! 1) Do you record interview on Shogun to ProRes RAW? Or what format in Slog? 2) Do you use any timecode system other than that in the Atomos? 3) Do you record the boom mic directly to the Shogun or Camera or recorder? What recorder? Thank you very much, :) Really appreciate your reply.
@sdrichardson124 ай бұрын
No RAW into the Ultras. I honestly just use them for a back up recording and edit off of the in camera Slog 3 footage. I’ll synchronize it in post via the audio waveforms. Mic went straight into one of the Fx6s.

The most astonishing part of the video is seeing how, even with all that equipment, you still fail to properly light the scene.
