i think one should not pick details from passport as it is. india passport issue/ expiry dates are in dd/mm/yyyy but the scheduling site screen has that in mm/dd/yyyy . folks with birthdays that are in single digit day & month could make mistakes.

Hello, I had previously applied for the US visa in the J-1 category with my old passport; and I have reissued my new passport as the validity of my passport was already completed. Now, with the new passport number I filled up the DS-160 and tried to book a US VISA appointment slot, but in the application page by I saw close application and start a new application as the first option and after select this option by default it showed all personal details with the old passport number which is unable to be edited further. I can answer. I also faced the same issue. I already have work visa and try to add my spouse details now, to pay for H4 visa fee and schedule interview. But new CGI portal is not showing any option to add dependents to already existing profiles (I created my CGI profile in 2022). Now I created a new CGI profile for my spouse and it shows the same error "user ID already exists". User ID should be unique and it should not be our email id. so try to keep unique like how we are doing for internet banking user id. I did the same, choosing/creating a unique name (eg: juhishah@2, juhishah@123) as user name. Try it. It works for me.

Each dependent (spouse and/or child) that requires a U.S. visa must fill out and complete a Form DS-160. They will need individual accounts and they after submitting DS-160, u will request group appointment, if u want to attend interview with u at same time.

Note: There is a section in the DS160 where you will be asked if any persons are traveling with you. Put in the names and relation to you in this space. Each person needs to mention the names and relation of all the other relatives traveling together. Please note that this is not the same as traveling as a group, there is an option where the form asks,”Are you traveling as a part of a group or organization”. Say no to this, if it is just family members traveling together.

My visa application was denied under 221(g), and the embassy asked me to schedule the visa interview appointment again. How to schedule it again and how to know about the availability of slots? I dont want my other things, pcc, medical etc to be invalid. Please guide.

I am from Kerala. I need to make payment for me and my family. After making the payment for B1/B2 visa what’s the next step. ? I have made separate login pages for each family member. After paying in the bank I got a reference number this will automatically come in the system. We are eligible for interview waiver. How can I add all of us and submit all the passports together in VFS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW

i can see the appointments booked but it says a notification as "One or more receipts have expired. If you cancel this appointment, you will not be able to schedule a new appointment until your application is paid in full" but i paid the fee in August 2023 only so it should be valid till Aug 2024 but why it is telling this? how to resolve this? what to do to cancel the appointments so that i could close the application and start fresh application, please guide & help.

My mother’s visitor visa was rejected and they asked us to apply again. Does that mean the we have to close the previous application and start new one? Because under manage appointments it’s not showing anything. And I have under there are issues happening while making payments. Please guide.

Today I scheduled the appointment at Chennai but when I confirmed date and time and clicked on submit the access limitation page showed and in the bottom of the home page, in payment column it shows zero. Does it mean my appointment is submitted or do I have to pay again?

Check scheduled appointments page and see if your selected appointment is showing there or not.

I had already submitted my application and until yesterday I was able to see ofc slots, but today it's asking me to continue application. And even if I continue and update it says can't update now. I'm on the edge since slots opening are approaching. If I close the application and start a new application will it cost me again?
