How to boost self-confidence // Let me know if this works for you!
@PDXBeach7 жыл бұрын
meditation (or prayer) is really therapeutic and appreciated. what I find is that self confidence goes down the more time is spent alone online filling out applications and not interacting with people. Going cold to an interview and crossing your fingers, then disappointed when you don't get it and it escalates. Keep the faith people!

Wow, I've watched a lot of videos on confidence, subscribed to channels focused solely on building confidence, but I think this is hands down the best video I've seen on the subject. This fully and completely resonated with me 100%. I'm fully going to take this to heart. Literally. This is exactly what I needed to hear... Thank you!

It is the first time I saw you cry . This video was so inspiring for me because I was a shy person and everybody was telling me that I should be confident and that was annoying because they just say it over and over again but they just did not know how I feel because they are not like me . They always tell me that I should be confident but they did not know the appropriate words to say . But thank God I came to know you because you are one of the few people who can genuinely help and simply give courage to me and give insight on how to really know what I really want . The past months I had been struggling to get a job . I had searched online , I had submitted a resume , I had stressed myself up , drained my brain thinking how I could get a job and all that . Thanks so much to you because you had helped and given me strength and virtually comforted me through this video . THANKS SO MUCH . LONG LIVE LINDA RAYNIER !

Today I would like to thank you, because I got a new role in an American company, my dream job (I hope) and certainly your videos helped me a lot. Thank you so much, Best, Juliana. I have an interview this Thursday for a job that I almost applied to for fun because I thought it was way out of my league, so right now I’m definitely feeling low in confidence and imposterish, but watching your videos is helpful and calming

Really appreciate that you share this. As a international student in Australia, I watched your video and prepared my interview for the first time and finally I got that job. And now I am back to my home country and looking for positions that I am interested. I am a person that always do not have enough confidence to express myself and tell the interviewer that I am a good fit for the job. I tend to compare with the other awesome people and tell myself I can't be like them. It's impossible. I think I should give myself a chance to try and believe that I can do that task and I am the best. Hope I can be confident and do whatever I want with confidence.

I had tears in my eyes watching this video. You definitely struck a nerve that I have struggled with for years now. I am currently in college and I am in a major (Health Science) I am in this major because of what I think my parents & society would comfortable with me doing, it is just one that I would most prefer. On the other hand I know what I would rather be doing (mass media tv/filmmaking) but it is not as respected as a profession. As of a couple weeks ago I was just going to accept my fate in finish my HS major because I did not have the money to transfer my transcripts to another college with my intended major. Then a couple days ago my cousin called me on a whim and after we talked she said she would help me pay for my transcript so that I could follow my personal dreams. The only step now is to have the confidence to actually jump despite what my parents will think of my decision because it is different. Love your videos. Thank you!

Hi Linda, I just stumbled across your videos and I just wanted to say how helpful theyve been just in the time Ive been listening and cleaning the kitchen. Im making a career field change after a divorce and period of unemployment and it just hasnt been working out. I dont get the offers I want. After watching your videos, I see how self confidence plays a role in almost every situation, professional and personal. When you said in this video that we need to find out the cause of low confidence levels, I realized instantly that the internal results of a bad divorce were still inside me. Now that I know several things I need to work on, Im going to redo my resume and practice for interviews based on your tips. So thank you. And if you ever decide to change from being a career strategist, you should definitely consider being a therapist. This video helped me so much. Thank you again. Im definitely a subscriber now.

I grew up in China, and the education we received is that you need to study hard and then you can be a successful person. Your parents, grandparents, your relatives or friends of your parents etc. will always try to encourage you to study hard by saying xx's son/daughter is getting a great results in the school, and you should study as hard as they are so you can get XX prizes from school or whatever. Or they will say why you can not be like someone's children who are good at school subjects and dancing/singing. Most parents from the 70's generation are tend to encourage their children by criticizing them. The problem here is your child might not be as tough as they thought, they may have a low self esteem if they get blamed all the way even after they grow up.

Hi Linda; I’ve been watching your videos and this is the best and most important one of them all. Because you give all the best job tips in the world. But if the person watching your videos or taking your advice doesn’t feel good about themselves it won’t matter. Dr. Jordan Peterson says that if you don’t like yourself or afraid of life you won’t take actions that are in your best interest. One of the great things that you mentioned off the top is how in North America (and I live in the GTA) is how it fosters this value of competition. It’s an ingrained attitude that is taught and has to be unlearned. Telling people to just pep themselves up does not work. Your points on the video are very good. And I am glad that you actually made them and posted them.

"That's where the danger comes in" - These subconscious thoughts. "maybe I am not good enough." Right. - True self -confidence - "I am confident in who I am. I want my heart to lead me and guide me to where is that I need to go" Great tips! "1. Meditation 2.Start listening to the feelings the guidance that you get from your heart 3. Be hyper aware of how you are feeling at every single moment." - "Your heart will guide you to what the right decision is" You don't rationalize things. - I have had a lot of bad decisions and negative life experiences simply because I didn't listen to my heart. or gut feelings. Turns out they were always right. In order to listen to my heart correctly, Just as Linda said in this video, "Be hyper aware of my feelings every moment" - It is a golden rule. Otherwise, you miss the critical cue that your heart tells you. and next thing you know that your life is in jeopardy.
