I can understand bur it like against my knowledge. I learned to plant is to dig down about four feet,the reason was to escape the draught. And to dig close to the banana to add composite. You may explain why that distance?

You must understand that planting spacing and depth are hugely determined by your geographical location, variety of plant, soil fertility and amount of rainfall. So I’ll advise you choose your spacing and depth considering these factors.
