Great technique. I am getting ready to braid up my hair for my clip in extensions (I like to work out often and get to my hair properly for a good clean and deep condition. Her hair is lovely and thick I like that but I'm worried my 16 inches of thick 4b hair won't be as neat?
@Yavonne199111 жыл бұрын
actually I think it is protective because youre not damaging your hair with heat from curling irons. A lot of people think that braids break the hair because theres so much fallout when your comb your hair but in actuality your hair sheds so much a day. So when you comb your hair after its been braided youre just combing out the fallout hairs. Its not all bad...sometimes lol

Why are people asking questions like "Why is she wearing weave"? Why not? It comes off ignorant as if your implying weave is only for people with short hair or what you may call "bald" It's so annoying when people make comments like that I wear weave as well and I'm natural My hair length is longer than her's so when people ask me questions like you are on here My reply is why not? I like to change up my hair style without damaging my real hair ! You'll be shock sew-in's can be a huge blessing !

Did you people ever think that maybe she's getting a weave because she doesn't want to or have time to deal with her real hair? Extensions are just easier to deal with, even though she's leaving a lot of hair out. Or maybe she just wants longer hair for the moment. Does it matter? Jeez.

Versatility, a different look, less manipulation on her hair, less maintenance, hair growth, quicker styling in the mornings, more length. Many more reasons too I could name. Weaves aren't just for woman with short or damaged hair, It's all about options and choices.

Exactly! I have wanted to get a weave for years, but whenever I mention it to so-called hairstylists they all look at me like I’m crazy because my own hair is down the middle of my back and in good shape. I can’t seem to get anyone to understand that I want to do different things such as coloring, cutting, etc. but not on my own hair. I want to give my hair a rest for a while, but have yet to be able to find someone willing to help…

when i sew in weave am i supposed to go through the track of the weave or under the track of the wave
@duceslaina11 жыл бұрын
Through the weft when starting off and ending for security, but in between that sew under the weft. Sewing through the weft too much loosens the weft and causes too much shedding.

I wish you could do my sew in. You know what the hell your doing. The shop I went to,Ugh, I don't know what they were smoking. First off I bought 2 packs of hair, they only used 1...I never saw that second pack again. They ran off into the back of the salon with my second pack of hair. Even though they suggested 2 packs.secondly the braids were insanely thick and some were thin. Then they had everything pined down weird..my mother had a hell of a time taking my hair down because of the way they sewed it in. And my weave only stayed in one place. It was not moveable (like your doing) and I was disappointed. :(
@b0dianab3auty11 жыл бұрын
What do she meant when she say sew the weft under the braid first row than over the braid 2nd row? Confusing... I wish u could've zoom in closer when you're doing it
@milesjones314310 жыл бұрын
Put the weft under the braid instead of on the braid on the outside braids. This helps hide the braids better when you pull the hair into a pony tail. After that first braid then sew the weft on top of the braid instead of under the braid

Weaves are used as protective styles to tuck away your natural hair and give it a break from weather, everyday manipulation ect
@kaylagivenchy52588 жыл бұрын
+Tamaryn Johnson not actually lmfao right but kinda wrong it's for bald people that really don't have hair they don't know what 2 do w it so they get a weave hoping that would let they hair grow out , it gives your hair a break for your hair to grow specially when it's dirty hair goes when your hair is dirty 🤔.

Women wear weaves as a protective style no matter how long or short your hair is heat and any type of styling can cause stress and damage to your natural hair so yes just because your hair is long it might not be healthy so that could be a reason why she is wear one

Try massaging Jamaican black castor oil (the real stuff! it should be dark in color) into your scalp & hair and do a hot treatment with that and use sulfate free shampoo/conditioner with keratin. Do protein treatments when needed and deep conditioning once a week or once every two weeks. Don't just trim your ends, trim ALL split end off wherever the are in your hair layers. You can also try the inversion method (you can look it up here on youtube). There's also a hair oil made by Njoy (she has youtube vids) that helped her hair grow 8 inches in 11 months and she has type for 4 curls. It's good stuff, not a scam (from the reviews I've read on it), and you can even find the recipe for it online in forums if you want to make it yourself. Hope this helped! ♥♥♥
@5050TM10 жыл бұрын
Also, be careful with chemicals. Relaxers are best done by pros or very, very skilled people even though many of us are used to doing it ourselves. Be careful not to over do it and perhaps try to stretch out the relaxers. Try detangling hair with your finger and not fine toothed combs. "Seal" your ends after washing or co-washing with castor oil or shea butter. Vatika products are said to be good also. They have a mix of oils that curly hair needs. Go to blackgirllonghair (.) com or other black hair care forums for inspo and awesome tips that really work!
