I'm a HUGE fan of Braids, it's one of my favorite hairstyles. You won't see me very often with my hair open, it's usually tied up in a bun, in a pony tail - or braided. I simply don't like having my hair in my face or flying around.
No matter if I'm working out in the gym, doing yoga, even while snowboarding lol, meeting with friends, working or traveling (especially when traveling), my hair is in Braids.
And if you ever plan to go to my home country Germany to check out Oktoberfest in Munich or Wasen (also a traditional festival happening twice a year in my home city Stuttgart), Braids are a definitive must-have!
Being able to do one's own hairstyle is not just loads of fun, I find it great to not be dependent on a hairstylist for a look such as braids that looks much more elaborate and complex than it is.
My favorite Braid is the Dutch Braid, but before showing you guys this version, let's get back to basics. This tutorial is for beginners, who don't know how to do a Basic Braid. After watching this video, practice often and you'll be a master in no time!

@@lovendesire266 have you tried using two mirrors so you can see what's happening at the back of your head while braiding? This could help. Also practicing on others first is a good idea, you'll get the hang of it much quicker. Good luck 😊

As I know she will never harm to a massive degree. We have been having really tough family issues. And well my mom has been having those ever since I was born. She's very depressed and her depression is only growing and growing. So she vents it all in me with saying very hurtful words no one should. She verbally hurts me in all aspects. I hope you surround yourself with other kind people who can help and support you though when you need it. We all can only take so much and sometimes things are just hard. Families are complex. It's great to see how well you navigate difficult situations like these. It took me so long to get to that point and I still struggle sometimes (and I'm in my mid 30s). I always do braids .. but my problem is in the beginning of the braid it become so loss not tight even tough i get it tight at the end and the middle of it but the beginning is so annoying

Hmm yeah I get what you're saying. Does your hair have a bit of grip? It helps a lot if it's not too slippery (like freshly washed hair for example). You could try and add a little bit of product to add more texture.

I think you must be crossing towards the front but you have to cross it towards the back. That's the mistake I was doing after bringing it to the front. Meaning after bringing the hair forward you have to do a reverse braid

Haha thanks 😅 it's a blessing and a curse at the same time. Takes forever to wash it and getting it dry is a whole other story. I'm naturally a hairy person which is great for the hair on my head but less fun when it comes to the rest of the body 🤷🏽‍♀️😅 everything has its pros and cons in life 😂

When I flip my hair over my shoulder to finish it, I get fumbled and confused from flipping my hands in the different direction and pulling it to the side like that shifts the whole braid and it's no longer centered on my head. I'm struggling so bad.
