Haha well feel free to share it 😊. I agree a test or basic training should be mandatory to ensure everyone has a basic level of competence and stay safer.

I used to break from rear then front. That was before without ABS.
@Tripleb6036
@Tripleb6036 5 жыл бұрын
Even without ABS (when I learned to ride there was no ABS) its front first then back for maximum stopping power. That's why it's good to practice so you get a feel for the brakes so you know how much to apply before locking up the wheel. It's all about getting to know your brakes and the feel to avoid panic or issues in an emergency.

Waaaa..... im practicing it the wrong way then... i was using my rear break as my primary break(just like the way i break with my road bike) then i use my rear break w/ front break for emergency stop.. raod bike and motorcycle is different then.. haha.. nice tip bro.. thanks!

You're welcome John. Just go easy on the front brake until you get a feel for it. Start out gently like I suggest and increase the pressure on the lever smoothly as you gain confidence.

It's all about weight transfer. With more weight on the front wheel the brakes work better. Let me know how you get on and ride safe.

what i do on emergency stop is front + rear brakes and I downshift for engine breaking. am I doing it right? or am I breaking my engine? been doing it fo awhile already. please enlighten me 😂
@Tripleb6036
@Tripleb6036 5 жыл бұрын
Front just before the rear then clutch in. You can use engine braking too to aid but at lower speeds the engine wants to continue to run so its best to pull the clutch at lower speeds for the most effective braking. The reason to use the front brake first is to get weight over the front wheel. The more weight on the front wheel the more effectively we can brake because you are getting more traction in the tyres to grip the road. There are other techniques that some teach such as lightly and quickly dabbing the rear first then going to the emergency braking on the front then rear but IMO that's just complicating things. Brake pads are cheaper than engines so I wouldn't use engine braking for an emergency. Also keeping things as simple as possible is best for a real life emergency stop so the less to concentrate on the better, THE KISS principle (keep it simple stupid 😂) You can downshift to first before you stop which will make it quicker to get away again if something is about to rear end you. On newer bikes engine braking is an electronic thing and built in to the ECU so it's good to use in normal use and won't wear your engine out but for an emergency I'd concentrate on using the brakes.

BUT WHY I SLIDE WHEN I USE FRONT BRAKE SIR? WHEN THE ROAD IS WET I USE FRONT BRAKE BUT IT CONTINUOUSLY TO RUN BECAUSE THE ENGINE IS IN THE REAR WHEEL? IS YOUR BIKE HAS AN A.B.S?
@Tripleb6036
@Tripleb6036 5 жыл бұрын
You shouldn't slide when using the front brake unless your braking too hard with it. It's all about learning the brakes and feel so you can apply maximum braking force without locking up the wheel. That takes practise. It's hard to know exactly what your experiencing without watching you in action. What continues to run po? You mean the brakes don't stop you? Or the engine keeps applying power? .
