Thanks. It’s not a hard task. Managing heat is key.

How likely is someone to "stick it" on their 1st attempt? I'd literally be buying all this stuff to put on 2 (maybe 3) deflectors lol, I usually just use nuts&bolts but when I saw this on OPE I couldn't help myself...but now seeing you do it, I can tell you "need a hand" at it (IE I wouldn't start with my muffler I'd start on scrap), how bad is the learning curve? Could I realistically expect to, run to H.Depot or H.Freight and grab the products you showed in their *smallest* sizes/quantities, come home and expect I'll figure it out in an afternoon? Or more like porting, where you really shouldn't be expecting to nail anything on your first run (you *may*, but you don't count on it :P ) For what it's worth I am not ignorant on all this stuff, just welding, have annealled copper have smelted aluminum & copper in my backyard foundry, am rebuilding a 660 clutch cover out of fiberglass right now, just have no experience with metal-melding I always wuss-out to nuts&bolts :P Thanks a ton!! (PS- Would this allow any minor "structural" welding at the muffler? Specifically I'm thinking, instead of typical deflectors, of those tube / pipe outlets, wherein part is inside the muffler and part hangs-out, would this type of brazing be sufficiently strong for those? If *yes*, how about for making one of those ~4" "mini-pipe" mufflers that Iron Horse and others are showing off lately?)
