"it is what it is because we have done what we've done" that right there is the most perfect answer to the question that gets asked the most in mixed media, thank you. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to explain why we use patterned paper and such just to cover it up or why we don't just use white paper if we are just going to paint it but I truly feel that this says it all. I love these small projects. They are adorable. I've been watching you for some months now and have seen you use the art stones on several of your cards and pages. I like the texture they give to your pieces especially when you are making the snowy look and how the color runs into the spaces between the texture Your black down the tag in two places is just stunning. Both are very pretty, but I just love this one !!! Monocrametic is the word your searching for when things are all the same shade. I hope that you don't mind my helping with your English!!!

Oh, and thank you also for explaining your take on, "why to use such pretty paper if you're just going to cover it up". I had been holding back my creativity until now, just because I was feeling a guilt in obliterating the base layer. As you say, it should just be a place to start - the basis for your inspiration. The end result is YOUR art, and you never know how that's going to turn out. That's what makes the process so wonderful - it's such a surprise! Such lovely, huge tags! I never saved my packaging until I started watching your videos. I always recycled of course, but once I saw what fantastic things you were making, I started saving it all! You were full of spunk and energy today... Maybe because Emi has a new friend, Henry, and all of your hearts were lifted. We are so lucky to have our art to aid us through the good and bad.
