Good video showing the break-in process. I love my Trotter brush and really need to get a few more.

Thanks! It’s fun getting new shave gear but it’s worth the wait to break in a new brush.

Great tutorial on a break in process. Seen many different ways. I usually just use PAA brush cleaner and do some hand lathering with it. I’ll repeat this 3-4 times and then let it dry and use it the following day. Gave a great weekend Matt!

Nice process Matthew. I used to do something like that but in recent years I’ve just been busting them brush outta the box and just start using them like normal, and then the brush break in through normal use. Your way is definitely faster, I will give you that. Have a great weekend!

I like the soaking process because most of the smell is gone and washed away before using. Thanks for watching Ben!

Excellent tutorial! I was tempte to think that you were just pausing and changing your shirt. I adopted the "just use them" approach to the handful of boar and badger brushed I own and it seems to have worked out. None of them were stinky though so I'd definitely do this if I get one of those. Thanks for sharing!

That one night I was giggling because my wife and I went out for dinner. I’ve had a few boar brushes that was awful to the point I wanted to just pitch them. Thanks for watching Eric!

Nice one Matthew! My Trotter broke in super quick, couple of palm lathers and it was ready for use to finish in the break in process.

At first I was like what!!! I never heard of a trotter brush breaking but then I realized my brain computed the info wrong. Hehehehe. Your right they do break in quickly. Some of my cheapie brushes took closer to 20 cycles to be softer. Thanks for watching Jmac

Neat video Matthew. It’s interesting to see how folks use different methods to break-in an animal hair knot. Take care my friend, -Paul
