This was popular a couple of years ago when Ronaldo said he does it personally, since then I do it with every pair of new boots I get and it helps a lot. Definently recommend doing this, the boots get really soft and the material stretches a bit, you have the feeling that you are wearing a leather boot instead of synthetic, but you keep the benefits of the synthetic upper. Great video again!

Guys i tried them i really recommend it it's alot softer now and it doesn't melt the glue don't worry, no soul separation.

SIR ERIC WR Yes, but make sure not to use boiling hot water use warm water but not very hot and don't keep it too long in the bowl, keep it for about 10 minutes, don't worry it won't melt.

I have tried hot water trick on my adidas X 16.3 turf. It worked for rest of the shoe and it expanded but not the heel area. The heel area is as tight as it was before. I checked properly but there seems to be some hard strip inside the heel area which maintains the shape of heel. Due to the same ( I believe ) , It didnt expand in heel area, Its giving me blisters , Can u please help me , how to stretch or expand heel area of my shoe ?

(NEED HELP) I have a pair of Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Electro Purple FG. The size of boot was correct but my foot is wide. So It hurts badly in my instep area. I decided to do the hot water trick. I used hot water that is bearly untouchable. After using it, it felt loose then I realized the sole glue is kinda melted down. I can see the line of glue in between the sole and upper. Now I scared to use it again. It didn't dislocated completely. Please help. I can't afford any other cleat.

Yes, if it works with the superfly 5 it should work with that too, but the main reason why people do it is to break in the soleplate, of course it won't have any effect what so ever on the upper cuz if knitted. How ever you can do it with promixo 2 I think it's a waste of time.
