How to Break Out of Faded Castle in Genshin Impact

Here's how to break the new 4.6 Fontaine map in 3 minutes! It's really that simple, because the devs left a hole in Faded Castle.

I‘ve found another really easy way out of bounds in the new area. In the Tunnel under the Mountain there is a hole in the floor on the south wall. You can carefully climb through it with a small character.

You can also use qiqi’s skill, jump into the water at the entrance, swim under the ledge, and it will freeze you through the ceiling. It’s one of my goto ways to break out of bounds any where there’s water under a ledge. I was forced to break in to get to the chests and oculi and to access the new boss on my no-archon-quest account, as the world quest doesn’t show. It’s too bad, I was hopeful we’d get our first new map to not be locked behind the archon quests.

You can actually clip out of bounds of this whole map even without starting this whole qorld quest line! Me and a friend found it randomly by looking for worlds to join for arlecchino ressources xD The only thing you need to have is either a friend with a cryo character, or a cryo character with a delayed cryo attack like ganyu's e

But there are two oddities in it. The first is that there is a road to the east of Realm Farakhkert that leads to the coast, which makes it not like a secluded paradise. Then there is Bayda Harbor, located in the north of Sumeru, where the road not only does not connect with the city of Sumeru, but instead connects with Vanarana. In the conversation, Port master mentioned that she was concerned about Yilong Wharf and Lumidouce Harbor. But those two are located on the east side of Fontaine, separated from Bayda Harbor by fog and waterfalls, and it is not practical to navigate them. On the contrary, it is more reasonable to open navigation with Romaritime Harbor.

There are people who pass by there: * tourists like August Lovelace in Sumeru City; or * pilgrims who want to follow the Lochknights' Pilgrimage for the Oceanids and Egeria. Bayda Harbor only connects to the lake north of Vanarana. I presume they use the lake as a pitstop for their cargo-carrying sumpter beasts. As far as people are concerned, Vanarana is just another part of the forest. As for its communication to Lumidouce Harbor and Yilong Wharf. Romaritime Harbor has no Liyuean ships, so it seems to be facilitating trade between only Sumeru and Fontaine. Lumidouce Harbor has no Sumerian ships, so it seems to be facilitating trade between only Liyue and Fontaine. Yilong Wharf has only Liyuan ships. This corroborates what Kimpel in Lumidouce Harbor says about the current state of affairs. Bayda Harbor has a Fontainian ship and Sumerian ships. So the trade routes seem to be: Bayda Harbor ↔ Romaritime Harbor Yilong Wharf ↔ Lumidouce Harbor (although no Fontainian ships go to Yilong Wharf) Yilong Wharf ↔ Mingyuan docks (southeast of Yilong Wharf, just before the water fall) ↔ Bayda Harbor Syndicates from Fontaine and Liyue cooperate according to a a world quest in the Mingyuan docks; and trade from the 2 combine into 1 route based on the ship distribution in the harbors and wharf, so because Bayda Harbor seems to deal with smugglers coming from Liyue, the portmaster is only getting info from 2 points on the route.

Then you have someone like me... paranoid about hitting the borders of the map and almost had a panic attack when a puzzle made me go up to the top of the castle right next to the edge of the top apparently. The minimap turned red

I used Kaeya and Qiqi to skip activating the quest entirely and get down there! (Use Qiqi to make a spot to stand on with her skill, then use Kaeya to ice platform. You can clip through the wall like in Mondstat.)

I somehow managed to break into Faded Castle first before even stepping foot on the new island. It turns out all the teleports inside it are tied to starting the quest, because none of them were present inside.

There is a way to get out of bounds which can be done even before starting the quest. Just use the good ol' Kaeya clip in the pond. From there you can easily get to the outside of the castle

I was able to break into the castle before unlocking it with the quest which was super cool! There’s three ways I know of to get there beforehand as far as I’m aware, so if you’re ever up to talk with a fellow glitch hunter I’d be glad to share what I know!

I think there is currently an exploit of the previous teleport glitch that lets you travel out of the paimons barrier. Its like the last one but with a few more requirements.

The Domus Aurea is below the rest of the map, so if you get out of bounds anywhere in the Remuria region, you can glide there.
