I just bought one few days ago and the price was $70 smh

Prices going up across the board, it’s painful, I still see under $60 from time to time. Inflation is brutal! I used to get ribs all the time for $13, now I’m seeing them priced at $19 everywhere 🤦♂️

Can the chain be used for anything? Maybe a stock?

100%, I’ll also cut it up and then throw it on the pan for a little snack.

Can u cut those two big pieces into filets?... Are they considered FILETS(the two big pieces) or is the meat tougher?...
@ComparisonCooking Жыл бұрын
Yes you can keep cutting into steaks(filets), I just like to keep a couple beef tenderloin roast ready to make Gordon Ramsey ultimate steak sandwich.

Great video. I like to place it in my chest freezer for about 10-15 minutes before butchering. It helps solidify the fatty and connective tissue somewhat while leaving the meat unfrozen. It also makes it so the whole thing doesn't flop around on me as much which makes for much cleaner cuts. I wear cut-resistant gloves during this, which keep my hands warm. And because the meat's not flopping around as much I find that it goes much quicker.

That is a very smart way to do it. Tenderloin breakdown might be the best therapy out there!

How is this entire piece so affordable, yet a filet mignon at a steak house will set you back $30+?
@ComparisonCooking3 жыл бұрын
Cost of the butcher breaking it down for you and the restaurant. They keep adding up the price the less you have to cut.
