Love these lil guys. So interesting and the way the pattern on them changes is awesome. Did the male always have the dark stripe down his belly or is that his spawning dress? Thanks for all the great videos you give us!! Your the best!!! ⭐️💫🌟

Love the Vid, I have 5 pea puffers and there is 2 that have paired up, he nudges her like that every few days. Never seen any babies or eggs but I do have a 60x36 cm tank heavily planted tank. I don't think I could catch them as they get stressed easily. So hopefully someday one baby might get away if they are eating them. Can't wait to see some from you if your lucky just so I can see how they look :-) Just a thought but do you think catfish or shrimp would eat the eggs? as I have some of them in my tank as well.

I've got a tank with some endlers and neocaradina shrimp in it, there's a big ball of monte carlo I have growing in the tank, turns out it's a terrific spawning area for the shrimp. I like it because it has a different look than moss, but maybe most importantly it filters the water like a maniac. Parameters are rock solid even in small tanks with a big piece of monte carlo in it.

Do you think that Xmas moss will be ok for them to spawn amongst Mark? Or should I find something like Riccia or the like?I just wanna give them the best possible chance of spawning. There will be 4 in a 57 Litre Fluval Flex (I’ll need to awe the flow from jets by placing a course sponge over each novel as I hear they only like gentle water movement. OR should I place a sponge filter in the corner n just use that instead in the fluval flex ? Will take up a bit of room n look like n eye sore in tank but if you think that’s better I’ll do it. Bow those lil black fly larvae are hell creepy lil critters...
@MARKSAQUATICS3 жыл бұрын
Christmas moss is fine to use. Best to keep flow to a minimum as their not strong swimmers. So yes use the sponge. 😀👍

Have you got soft water Mark? I get the feeling the chances of me getting a spawn in the East Midlands (19 dgh) would be quite slim. That being said, my single pea puffer seems to be happy enough.
@raymondt79085 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. Greetings once again from Germany. We are watching your puffer videos with great interest. Strangely enough our own next project was to set up a dwarf puffer tank so when we saw that you had started a series of videos we couldn't have been happier. So I now have a question I'm hoping you can help to answer for me. My husband has his own tank (30l Nano) which is for his bee shrimp. A few years back he tried keeping bee shrimp but sadly after only a few months they all died. This has actually happened twice and he just doesn't understand why he keeps losing them. Anyway two years on he is trying once again. It's still the same tank, the tank has been cycled and all parameters are fine. Nitrite 0,01 PH between 6.5 and 6.8 Not sure of his other parameters but I know he's checked everything and said that all was ok. Two weeks ago he added his new shrimps. Today I noticed that one has sadly died. He's at work at the moment but I know he's going to be devastated. I really don't know why we are having such bad luck and I was kind of hoping you may be able to shed some light on the subject. Hope you can help. Ray and Armin.
