This brewer is so pretty haha! It reminds me of phin (Vietnamese coffee filters). Phin are usually smaller and made of aluminium. Where I live in Australia, they only cost about $1! I'm surprised more people don't use them tbh because they're so lightweight (great to chuck in your backpack to take to work) and don't need filters.

I’ve had this brewer since last Christmas, but I haven’t really used it since that last week of the year, where I was constantly rushed and didn’t have time to dial it in properly - especially because I also got the Gen 2 burrs in my Gen 1 Fellow Ode that week: I couldn’t keep my Pureover from choking, and it was kind of a disaster. Today my wife accused me of hating it, so I determined I’d get it right and show her my appreciation. I’ve been following you for at least that long on TikTok, and so when I saw that you had made a “HowTo” with it, I was like “That’s my favorite Canadian Coffee Nerd!” And yes, I know who else there is to be a fan of 😜. Thanks for rescuing this sweet little brewer for me: this cup that I made alongside your video is looking clear and clean, and the drawdown was indeed low 3min. In Jesus’ Name, I’m asking The Lord for favor over you and your ministry of being a delightful coffee nerd.

Great video thanks. Also just to add - paper filters with coffee grounds are compostable and very very good for the soil, so using paper filters isn’t bad for the environment. Just clarifying ✌️✨

Thanks for the vid. I’m still figuring out this dripper and your description is helpful. When you say 3-5 minutes, is that including or after the bloom phase?

Where do you roast coffee? What machine do you use? How often do you roast coffee? Will you record the roasting process and share it with us?
@CaitlinCampbellCC2 жыл бұрын
Hello, we roast at our roastery (not open to the public and therefore kept private). We roast on a Probat drum roaster roughly 2x a week. We do post roasting content on other platforms from time to time but it’s not our primary focus when it comes to content.

It isn't a great option for coffee aficionados. I bought mine during the kickstarter phase. Pretty to look at but you are limited in the grind size to a coarser grind and you'll want to sift out the fine coffee powder first. They knew they had a problem I think because they included a glass stirring spoon. It clogs. It brews way too slowly. It just isn't good. If you want to go this route, choose an Aeropress instead as Aeropress results in very fine coffee.

What are your thoughts on automatic bean-to-cup coffee Machines? Any brand recommendations for those who want the quicker process?

you know what, this is basically a glass version of the trusty Indian Kopi coffee brewers made out of aluminum. Look them up and it will be an 'aha' moment of what this basically is

The fact that it's good for the environment makes it 100 times better.

That silly small amount of paper makes no difference to the environment. Get over it. Paper degrades. Duh. It you are obsessed, get and Aeropress with a Prismo valve. Better coffee.

That is a concern. I was really concerned about the health of the person when I saw the video. Health is wealth.
