And now I caught up on the other one I missed. Irish Red is one of those beers that I feel should be on tap year round and not just in March, they are delicious! Looks and sounds like you nailed it, great video!
@NikitaVorontsov2 жыл бұрын
Ageeed highly on that front, I was so surprised by just how delicious it came out to be! And so easy drinking too. Definitely going to need to be a year round tap when I expand the kegerator eventually

Ireland’s mild ale or as it used to be called sweet ale. A lot of smaller independent breweries brew them.

Usually i don't comment on videos. But after following your videos for the last months i think it is time for an exception. I really dislike "loud" videos - you know: Fast cuts, loud and hectic music and the guy in it almost shouts at you. Your videos have everything i like. "Peaceful", well filmed footage, relaxing music and pleasant commentary. By the way. Very nice idea for the new series. The only thing i would like to see more of, is real brewing footage. Keep it up :)

Thank you very much! That’s really inspiring, I appreciate it very much! More brewing footage I can most definitely try and do more of! I’ve got a few videos already on the backlog but will try get some more for future brews!

I love the red colour, and it's nice that you're encouraging new people to get into DnD, it's always great to see new people having fun playing DnD, in my experience they always make the game a lot more fun

Lovely red color! Very good video! I am a forever DM who has been home brewing for 9 years (not even 4x the time I have been playing D&D). I will say that my own taste in Irish reds runs drier and more biscuit emphasis than caramel/toffee. Your recipe is pretty close to my recipe for a Scottish ale (basically sub Caramunich 3 for the CM2). So great to have found your channel and looking forward to future videos combining your enjoyment of both hobbies.

Thanks very much! Dry and Biscuity sounds pretty good too actually! Hoping a future brew consists of something like that!

Love the videos man! Nice looking beer, I've only attempted to brew a red ale once and it was too dark. . .i'll try again one day.

Thanks very much! I reckon the colour thing is a very fine knife edge with the roasted barley! Supposedly RedX is also a grain for giving a red colour!

I'm new to brewing and I made Irish red which has been fermenting for the past 13 days. I don't have kegs yet or the Co2 carbonation system so I am going for dextrose and 12 ounce bottles. How much dextrose do I need to put in each bottle?
@NikitaVorontsov2 жыл бұрын
Nice one! You can use something like this to find the total amount of sugar you need for your batch: www.brewersfriend.com/beer-priming-calculator/ Eg. If you're going for an Irish Red with around 2.3 Vol CO2 Carbonation. With a batch size around 19L fermenting around 20C. You'd want 111.8 g Dextrose for the whole batch. If you're using 12oz bottles (355ml), then 19000 / 355 = 53 bottles. 111.8/53 = 2.11g sugar per bottle.

@@NikitaVorontsov Thank you, that sounds very useful. I'll check out the page. I was going for 23l but only managed to make 21l in the end. I spilled some water before I started sparging :S It turned out that the amount of wort was quite enough because the foam started rising like crazy after I put in my first and only ''East Kent Goldings''. Luckily nothing spilled during the boil. I just realized it says 0.33 l on the bottles. Could that be the same as 12oz or is there a difference? I mainly use ''ml'' and ''grams''. :D I've prepared 64/330ml bottles.
@NikitaVorontsov2 жыл бұрын
@@njemchi I’d use the metric and just use ml! 12oz is closer to 350 instead of 330 so just update your values :)

@@NikitaVorontsov I have one more question. What should be the storage temperature and how long should I keep the bottles in the dark?
@NikitaVorontsov2 жыл бұрын
@@njemchi Id keep it standard room temperature, maybe like 18C or so? Alternatively keep it in the garage if its around 12-18C. Keep em in the dark for as long as you can tbh
